While mowing the grass (I think thats all I ever do lol) I saw another stick in the back yard. It sort of grabbed me.

I look at many web sites and wish I could do the wonderful carving and stone mounting and wire twisting. Alas, I can't, I can only release what I see and feel. And hope to leave peace and joy within each for those that may use them later.

Blessings

To each his art...I often envy people that can do wonderful things with natural materials, but I know that those which I create are all the more powerful for me because I created them.  I made a lovely wand out of pine that I had found after a storm.  It is not NEAR as beautiful as yours, but, it does exactly what it needs to do at exactly the right time.   You are truly gifted and your work is amazing!

Thanks seamonster
each thing each person creates is beautiful and powerful for them. it's all about you  Very Happy
and that is how it should be. my  work is very rustic and simple. I would love for you and others to show what they do here in my little corner of the castle. It's here for everyone, not just me. Show and tell, exchange ideas of what worked and what didn't, I have had several that didn't lol.

Okay, I'm hoping this photo goes thru', since this is my first time putting one on this forum.  If so, this is my "healing wand" (more for self-work).  It is difficult to see it in its glory as I had to scan it since I lack the proper image capturing paraphernalia. (yet).  I carved and painted runes that, to me, focused on specific areas of my healing, and then attached rhodocrosite, lapiz lazuli and onyx, along with a feather that had sentimental value for me.  The  "handle", which is not shown, is bound with natural leather.  It is quite lovely up close and personal, but the scanner does take quite a bit away from it.  There is a small Green Aventurine in the tip which is difficult to see.

I love the look of that one. I can see the spirit of it. Very nice. Once you work your magic into it, it will be a powerful stick.

Well guess I'll share as well.

I made this one a few years ago. Hubby cut down a long stemmed red rose bush I loved, and the canes were huge! So, this is made of rose cane. The feathers are out of my 'collection', Owl (with tiger eye bead), redtailed hawk (with red jasper bead), and crow (with hematite bead). The fur is Lynx. A piece I picked up at the Ren Faire. All contain the spirit of animals that are near and dear to me.  It is about 31/2 - 4 feet tall. Comes up to my shoulders.  (Psycho-Kitty thought she was gonna play with me feathers, til the flash sent her sailing across the house ninety to nothing, Laughing .)

I'll get a pic of my wand and post it later. Gotta recharge the camera battery lol.

Wow, that wand is exceptional!

Novia, that staff is very nice.  I like the touch of lynx.  I'll bet that really adds quite a bit of power to it.
I picked up a nice willow stick about 4 foot long in the school playground about three weeks ago and have been staring at it for the longest time.  I felt it wanted me when I picked it up and took it home, but now, I feel like it is making me wait for something before I work with it.  It's a Strange feeling, as if it is watching me.   Shocked

It will let you know in it's own time, lol. You were picked by the stick. Such a strong feeling is not that common. Look at it, dream, enjoy the journey.

Those are some lovely wands.  I don't have one myself, never really felt the need for one.  In fact I really have no tools for magic.  I mostly just use candles, stones, crystals, and incense.  But you never know. Last stone I picked up just sort of jumped out at me, whats to say a stick wont want to be picked up some day?
