murder. Cutting off feet and hands.  House next door. Thru front door, door on left. Tinted windows on house.

Forgetful old woman on phone telling her not to forget this address, send police.  Strange man showing up with craft paint pens, (red, white, black) going into house even as dead woman lies in her bed. Murderer/ odd man stealing the face/identity of cop (hannibal lector stunt from silence of the lambs)

Hubby knowing exactly where she will be, and what will have been done to her. Going into house via garag/back door. Opening door to let strange man into the house.

whew. what i could possibly offer to this:

before i began losing my father to alcoholism, i had a fear of of someone else wearing his face. while he was actually succombing to this demon, it happened - his face was talking to me, but the person behind it had changed, and the one I had become accustomed to and had expected, and wished for so badly to return, was dead and gone.

Farther down my path, in the time of now, I am learning to identify myself as something other than my face. Had a mirror meditation maybe three nights ago where I broke down the idea that I was related to my face, massaging it, distorting it, acknowledging it, dissolving it, dismissing it. Now using the perspective of the deacon influences to describe myself. "I am not my face!" Seems easy enough, right?  Laughing  Sure takes a sharp, heavy tool to get to the root of that one.

Murder= death, transformation? Through violent means? Possibly necessary violent, catastrophic means?

Murderer stealing the cop face = this man has become the authority, or at least wants to appear that way to gain power, control?

House next door = someone else other than yourself? A part of yourself you're no longer acquainted with?
Tinted windows = someone else other than yourself? A part of yourself which you cannot completely knowno longer know, or sympathize with?
Cutting of extremeties = things we don't need to survive but are attached to anyways?
Door = something obvious maybe? gateway, initiation?
Door on left = "left brain" associations? creative side?
Craft pen colors = red: passion, lifeforce, aggression? black: the nothing, void? white: the everything, wholeness, completion? (black and white in balance? completed cycle?)
(This last list of ideas are just shots in the dark from my own connections)

Do you feel your losing some aspect of yourself that you used to take great pride in?

(Please understand, I don't consider myself well-versed in dream interpretation, just gave this a shot for fun and because I'm on a similar vibe right now. I've never tried dream interpretation for anyone else other than myself.)

Great analysis, RE!

I would like to add that I noticed that the colors of the craft pens are the colors of the Goddess.  Tinted windows may also mean that you aren't seeing something clearly.  For me, windows are the inner eye.  If the window is clear, I'm seeing something clearly and I need to take note of what I see through the window.  However, I need to figure out why I can't if the window is unclear.  What is it that you aren't seeing?

Are you the forgetful old woman?  Why? ...and what address are you not supposed to forget?  Some important information, a place (situation in your life) that you must remember.  Seems like your male side is well aware of your change and is "in cahoots" with the one who is changing it.  The one who is changing you has a "false face", or a "borrowed" face,  perhaps something you don't trust about certain things that are going on in your life.  Is there someone in your life (even yourself) that you feel is posing?

Since the general consensus of a car in dreams is the direction of life, the garage is perhaps the destination, or the place where you "park your car" between journeys.  Your "false face" friend has come in through that "parking" area, during the time when your journey has been paused momentarily?
