Dragonflyies are abundent here in Louisiana. But Lately they have been "in my face". No matter where I'm at outside, they seem to flock to me. At work during breaks or lunch I sit outside an they come and land on me. I find them in the back window of my car, I've even had them follow me in the house. At work they seem to find their way to the coolers and I am called upon to come get them. They seem to become so chilled they can't fly, so I bring them outside to warm in the sun and off they go. My co-workers seem to be getting quit a kick out of this and have started calling me Dragonfly. An a few of these winged fellows have given me a nice pinch or two. I looked up their meaning and wonder as to what changes are on the way. I have even started to write down any thoughts and feeling I have when they are near. An even as I set here typing there is one just outside the window. It's a very large bright red one.  What is it that they want me to know, see and understand? Only time will tell.

This past Sunday hubby and i took a nice cruise around town in his old car, a 1972 Chevy Chevell ( ya I know Sweet!!). Any how as we were coming down a road in town, going about 35mph, in flies this honey bee and lands on my shirt just over my heart. Now the first thought was "Hello!! I'm going to get stung". But all it did was make a couple of turns on my shirt, then seemed to give me a good look see. Then off it went right back out the window. Hubby said it just wanted to say hello. So I looked up the meaning of bees and it can go hand in hand with the dragonflies. Now I wonder even more. What changes are coming? What is ending and what will begin.

Change is in the air, as to what I know not.

Enlighten us darlin, what do the dragonflies know?

We had a blue one land in our canoe last week, I've been wondering the same.

Oooh, Dragonflies!  I love Dragonflies.  I've been surrounded by them lately, too!  There was a herd (?) of them that flew over the car while I was at a red light on my way to work this morning.

I don't know about Inde's source, but in the Medicine Cards (Jamie Sams/David Carson), Dragonfly speaks of illusions that we hold within ourselves.  Likely, unhealthy ones that we need to identify and change.  Also, I like to peek into a website (animalspirits.com) that covers various meanings of just about any animal imaginable.  They give a whole list of things for dragonfly, including connection to the dragon (which, I don't know much about...yet...)

...ooh, that reminds me.  I had a bat fly very near me last night as I was standing on the balcony after the "big" storm.  Bat signifies rebirth (much like the Death card in Tarot), and that was a good omen for me. (Naturally, for personal reasons). (evil)
