Hi I am new in the forum, I happened to find your old forum on the internet and that´s how i found this site, i am still checking it but so far i think is fantastic.

Sorry if i make an spelling mistake but english is not my first language.

I have been copying the glamour spells that you have post on the other forum and hope soemone can help me out with some questions i have:

1. For some spells you need to live things on an altar, i guess to venus. Can you explain me how to make the altar and wich things i´ll need?

2.There´s another spell
MOONSHINE STARSHINE GLAMOUR

Ingredients

On a full moon, take a mirror and go outside.
(if you can't then open a window, make sure the moon is reflected on the mirror)
Take a piece of a picture (hair, lips, eyes, whatever you are interested in changing)
Place it on the mirror and concentrate on it and say:........

The piece of picture must be yours or you must find anothers person picture who have the ideal feauture as you want yours to be and doing it with that person´s piece of picture?

3. This glamour speels fade? I mean do you need to be doing them all the time or with once is ok??

Sorry to bother you with so many questions.

Thanks and Best regards to all

Hello blondyprincess,

First off, I would like to welcome you to Pagan Living. I do hope we can assist you on your spiritual path.

But we do need to speak about spells and I need for you to answer a few simple questions.

How long have you been studying the Craft?

Do you know how to cast a circle, protect yourself? Do you know about the elements?

Are you familiar with Deities, or Pantheons?

Why is it you are desiring to cast a glamour spell?

We have a disclaimer and it states:

**We make no claims of magical effects or supernatural powers for any item in this group/community. In spite of  legendary attributes or occult and craft tradition, such items are offered as curios only and beliefs concerning their magical effectiveness are related only for historical interest. **

Now to answer your other questions:

I liken glamour spells as to getting a makeover, haircut, or a sexy new outfit. These "confidence boosters" are good, especially if you have problems with your self-image. They basically are what a "glamour" spell is all about. Most of the Glamour spells in the section you are speaking about are for curoisity only and are not meant to be taken at face value. Affirmations and loving, respecting and honoring yourself are the best "spells" a witch can have.

The altar is the place where the Wiccan or Witch worships and casts magick. It may be anything as elaborate as an ivory, chiseled table to as simple as your bedroom floor. It is not important what you make your altar out of, it is only important that you take care of constructing it. Remember that your altar is your place of worship, and should be treated with respect.

In the far, upper left hand corner of your altar, place a candle for the Goddess. Good colors for this are green, silver or white. Place with it a symbol of Her if you like, maybe a pretty stone or seashell. In the upper right hand corner place your God candle. It should be Red or Yellow. A pinecone, a stone or some other symbol may be placed here if it pleases you.

Your incense burner should be placed in the middle of your altar. Any other items that you will be needing in your rite should also go in the center.

If you are using a cauldron or any other item belonging to the element of water or air, these should go on the Goddess side of the altar. If you are using anything from the element of fire or earth, place these on the God side of the altar.

If you place something in the wrong area, don't worry! The God/desses really don't care as long as you treat the altar as a place to commune with your Deity.

Magick is not some unnatural dangerous tool that backfires on the one who has a need and uses it. I think of it as a natural process for focusing the energy of the entire person that's there for our benefit. It's a lens that focuses spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and physical energy. Like money, we can use is wisely--or we can abuse it.

It is my hope that you will try to study what is here at Pagan Living, ask questions (as you have) and learn before you try any spellcasting or magick on your own, and that my answer (and others) helps you on your journey.....

Be well,

If you cant explain it simply, you dont understand it well enough.-- Albert Einstein

No doubt about the placement part, cause I never could find any 'official place' to put my cat, who always seems to be 'placed' on it!  Laughing (the fact it sits in front of the window is a major contributing factor!)

Welcome to the group blondyprincess.

I would second the voice of LE and ask why? if the answer to that one simple question leaves you with a funny feeling, then I'd say, opt for the haircut!  Very Happy

Thank you very much for the answers.

I haven´t study the craft, don´t know how to cast a circle, or protection or anything, but i will love to learn how to do it. Not much familiar with deities or pantheons neither  Sad

I am spanish and here we have more like gypsy magic, and santeria as there is many cubans living here, but i don´t think deities are the same, and i will love to learn this other kind of magic that you use.

I want to cast glamour spell to be more beautiful, i am a model and it is a lot of competence and the best other people think i look the more i work. As well agenacy is taking me into a beautity contest in few months and will like to be as beutifull as possible for that.

I guess this maybe can sound a little shallow for some people but it is my work and is important to me.

So do you think glamour spells wotk to really make you more pretty and be seen prettier by others, or just to make you feel good with yourself?

Best regards and whises

Okay, as LE and Novia have said, knowing how to cast a circle is very important in protecting yourself. Anything spell you do has the potential to backfire in a big way right on top of you if you don't, and you are only asking for nasty little spiritual ooze to attach itself to you without you even being aware of it.

As for doing a spell, it sounds as though you need more of a spell for confidence and poise rather than actually changing the way you look.  When you are confident in yourself and move confidently with poise and grace, THAT is what judges will see more so than physical beauty.  All people see physical beauty in different ways.  What one judge sees the other will not.  It is not a matter of the hair color, boob size and flat tummy.  Its all in how you feel about yourself and how you present yourself because of it!! Good luck with the competition!  Smile

Hola Blondy,

I understand why you need a glamor spell if you are trying to build a career as a model.

The first thing you must understand about glamor spells is that they do not really change how you  look.  They are an illusion.  They make people see you as looking different.  As a model, you should know that the spell will not make you look more beautiful in photographs because the magic does not work on machines like cameras.

As a model, I think you would be better performing a confidence spell.  You do not want people paying attention to you if you do not have faith in your own appearance and abilities.  When you have confidence in yourself--your appearance and abilities, you are casting a strong glamor spell.  People will notice you.

Since you are unfamiliar with formal magic, I would recommend using herb magic combined with candle magic.  What is important when you use this kind of magic is to concentrate on what you want when you light the candle and use the herbs.  If you want to build your career, you may want to use spells and candles related to finding jobs.  The herbs and spices you can eat or use as incense.

Here are some things you can use for simple spells that may help.  Remember to concentrate on the result you want:

-- bathe with rose water or rose-scented soap for beauty and confidence
-- jasmine soap or perfume is also good for beauty spells
-- light a red or pink candle for beauty
-- light a green candle for success
-- spices useful for success and money are cinnamon, basil, allspice, nutmeg, and clove.

Good luck.

Hi Blondy,

I usually do not worry about casting circles when doing herb and candle magic.

With the spices I mentioned, you can eat them, burn them, or use oils or candles with the spice scent.

Good luck.
