Ben's Car died on the way to work.  He had to leave it on the side of the road.  He thinks its the fuel pump and that wont be cheap to fix.  Hopefully he can get it moved before the police impound it.  One of his coworkers is going down to the exit later with a jeep and a chain to try and move it when ever he gets time.

The police had already ticket it when Ben drove by in his big truck.  If it gets impounded we can't get it out and moved.  He'd have to let them have it.  All his tools, his camera, and his coat are in it.  I pray Dan gets down there in time.

Just thought I'd let you guys know what is going on with the car.  It turned out to be the catalytic converter, it was shot.  Ben cut it out and put a straight pipe in it so it'll run until he can get to the repair shop.  Thank god it was nothing to big.

As far as works going I was supposse to be going in all week for training but they called me this morning and told me not to come in.  i am supposse to come in tomorrow but we'll see.  As much as they have jerked me around (even after I have literally begged for hours) I am not sure I want to work for them.  If they give me hours I'll work, I have too.  But I am looking for other employeement.  

I plan to call Waffle house later.  I started to call just a minute ago but the automated message said once I give them my information I can't call back so I am going to wait for Ben to get home, his Phone is more reliable.  Mine was cheap and has a tendency to drop the signal for no reason.  I also called Publix but they lady said they aren't hiring right now.  I applied at Petco too but they aren't interviewing until after the 9th because they are doing something with the inventory right now.  Guess I'll go Harass the folks at Kroger and see if any one looked at my application.

Still hanging in but I don't know how much longer.  I was suppose to go in to work for 3 hours today but they just called and told me not to.  I am going to wait until the doors are unlocked and go confront some one about my hours.    I have practically begged for more hours but nothing seems to work.  I have 11 or 12 hours for the week.  I have gone in 4 days but they only schedule me for 2 1/2 hours a day.

I consider my car to be gone.  It's still in the drive way but there is no way short of a miracle that I can get the payments caught up at this time.  Ben is going to try to teach me to drive his car, it's a stick and I hate the idea of having more things to worry about behind the wheel but 6 miles is to far to walk to work.  And even if it wasn't you don't walk beside 74 unless your suicidal.

Last months heating bill was $300 and it isn't even that cold here yet.  I don't know what we can do about that.  Ben said something about maybe putting sleeping bags in the computer room because we can close it off and keep it warm.

Hopefully I can get on at Petco soon.  The lady there said she'd start doing interviews after the 9th.  After I go beg for hours at Wendy's I plan to swing by there and let her know I still need the job.

You're doing all you can, Indigo.  Just try to stay positive about it and keep believing something will come thru for you and Ben.  I'm sending up prayers for you both.  I think it is a good idea to go by Petco and let them know you are still interested in the job.  

I've been there before and I know what it's like to wait for them to come and take your car away.  All I can say is even if you do lose everything and do have to sleep in sleeping bags, you have each other and nobody can take that away.  I know it's difficult to see now, but it will get better.

A stick shift really isn't that hard to learn.  Just remember to push the clutch in before trying to move the stick.   :roll:  It should be a really smooth motion between letting off the gas, pushing in on the clutch, moving the stick, out on the clutch and back on the gas.  You'll get the hang of it.  I'm sure of it.

I think, too, that if you have a cut off notice from the lights, you may be able to go in to your local social services office to get some assistance.  Considering your hours and the lack of employment in your household, you may qualify.  I'm not sure, but it wouldn't hurt to try.
