I thought it might be fun to discuss the funny or brilliant things our pets do.  I'll go first.

My cat, Kimiko, makes catnip tea.  She puts her catnip toys in the water dish so that the nip seeps out and she can consume it.  At least we think that's why she soaks them.

My older sister had a cat named Alana, and she absolutely hated my cat, Mittens. One day I was looking for my kitten, when I look into the utility room, she's showing my kitten how to catch a mouse. She had it in her mouth, and every once in a while she'd let it go, and let my kitten get it. When Alana noticed me, she whacked Mittens in the head and walked out of the utility room, it was horrible hilarious..   .. Kind of a "what the..?" moment. Alana also knew how to flush the toilet and manipulate the doorknobs to open up doors in the house.

My puppy...ok she's a 6 1/2 year old shepard /husky lets me know if there's no water in her dish.  She used to be able to pick up her water dish and throw it at me (I'm not exaggerating), but I bought a new one she can't pick up anymore.  Now, she pushes it over to me.
If we don't want to play with her, she'll take her toy or ball, wrap her blanket over it, and play 'find the toy' by herself.

hah... my cat zoey is the one who rules the animals in our home, she's a small bast cat who when you look at her she looks so sweet and small compared to others but looks are decieving  :roll:  we have a 110 lbs rott (rosie) a yellow lab (harley) and a pick-a-poo (flower) and she keeps them in line it is so funny... she also likes her tail pulled just a bit when she eats... she's my baby even if she is a bit of a brute... takes after me

I have 2 neutered males in a 12X60 trailer so disputes over territory are common. Loki, the younger black cat, starts the fight and Tigger -- 15 yr old grey tigger -- ends it. Then, Loki comes crying to Mom that big brother is picking on him!

When I lived in Virginia we lived near three colleges and it was common for the kids to drop their dogs out in the sticks when they graduated and moved away.  I guess they figured us rednecks would take them in, which of course we did.  Best dog I ever had was dropped on us when I was about 11.

I was just outside messing around in the woods one day when this gorgeous, sweet natured golden retriever appeared out of no where and started following me around.  The vet figured she was about 5 years old.  She was so very smart but terrified of people.  Some one had beat this dog and for the first few weeks she cowered each time I tried to pet her.  Eventually she grew to trust me but it took time.  I named her Amber.

Well for most of her life with us she lived outside like the other big dogs.  But when she got old and frail she moved inside with us and the little dogs.  She soon figured out how to get the best seat in the house.  She would get up and prance at the door like she needed to go potty.  When I got up to take her out she would run and jump up in my warm seat.  I always found it so amusing that I would just let her have the seat and move one of the cats or lap dogs to sit down.  She died at the ripe old age of 17.  I miss that old girl.

My cat,Socks, likes to try tripping my mom when she goes up the stairs.  Socks is funny when he does that.  He also will run all over the house as if he is crazy.  It's hilarious to watch.
