It seems mother nature has opened her rath on us all.  One half of the country is flooding and the other is burning.  In  Victoria we have lost 108 people to the fires to date.    And in the north many lives have been stretched to the limites with the loss of property etc with the on going floods.  I ask that if possible you send some good thoughts and prayers to the people of this country. To those who have lost loved ones, lost all they have and to the wonderful people working to put out the fires and help them.

These are truly trying times for all.  So I send a prayer for all those on this planet who are suffering for what ever reason and ask that we all join in.

I find it all so very hard to comprehend that the fires have been deliberately lit.  The things one human can do to others is far beyond me.  Although I have lost no - one I have shed so many tears at the sight of what has happened.

It may be time for a syncronized energy raising.  

There are so many problems and issues, nature, politcal, econimical you name it, in every corner of the Mother Earth, that it may be time to reach out to ALL people everywhere with a deep compassion and desire to spread some positive energy?

 I agree Earth Mother,  and sadly I think too many people are too self involved to care about spreading some positive energy and good will.  I am still saddened each day to see on our news etc the disrespect the human race shows for its brothers and sisters, and indeed its own Mother Earth.

I suppose all we can continue to do each day is go about spreading our own positive energy in our own corners of the world, and hope that it grows.

My thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost loved ones, proerty etc, and also with our brave fireys who are out there fighting to save those in need

I agree with EM, that we should do a collective energy raising.   It is really our duty to put forth that energy, as Pagans, otherwise it is being wasted.     We are few, but we hold many wonderful secrets that the majority does not understand, so we are morally obligated to use our knowledge for the good of all, with harm to none.

Kath - thank you for mentioning this. Here in the States it's very difficult for information about the state of the world to infiltrate our ego-centric (or patriot-centric?) media.

Calming and healing energies are wished your way - but they would've never come without the awareness you've raised. Thank you for doing your part to join humanity in the name of healing. Be well.

Collective energy raising,  I'm in.....tell me when!  Keeping good thoughts for you, Kath, in the meantime.

I know I came up with the collective energy raising idea, however, I would need to leave the time and date facor to someone better versed in such planning.  Celestial allignments, moon phases and all that.  Should we agree to do this, I'd like to do it right.  

I can't believe the death toll so far has just hit 173...and is still rising   I thing I have noticed through this tragedy, is how truly awesome our PM is.  Kevin Rudd was there on the ground with the people who were going through this within 24 hours, has given 10 million in funding to help re build the town, has dedictaed all military personal our state government needs, and has passed emergency cash payments of anywhere up to $22,000.  I am only 30, so I have never really had the chance to truly appreciate a politician...but wow...I am in awe, and truly proud to be an Aussie.  I can only hope the conditions ease for the poor fireys up there still struggling to contain the various fire fronts, and that the loss of life halts.

Im there for the collective energy raising...and yep brimaso I agree...karma is coming, she is indeed a bitch...especially when our PM has thrown the term 'mass murder' out there.....

I have been keeping everyone down under in my thoughts and prayers since I saw this the other day, and was most appalled when I heard that the main reason they cannot get it under control is the asshole keeps relighting the damn things!

As an update, they have arrested one person thought to be responsible for the fires in KingLake which killed 21 people.  Sadly one of the other major fires is thought to have been cause by faulty powerlines which it seems were not maintained properly by the power company.

The fires sadly are still burning, and the death toll..now at 189 is said to still be on the rise

My love and prayers go out to those in the effected areas....may they find comfort and peace in the knowledge our whole country is behind them.
