Ooh, a new cuppa!  Smile

Just got home from school and am sitting here trying to relax and eating a very cheesy bagle, debating on whether or not to go to the gym.  (we signed up for a membership last night).  I just hope I can use up all the stuff in our cupboards soon so we can start "right".  (Can't afford to just throw it out!)

Hope all is going well for everyone here!

Thanks, Lady Elaine.  I enjoy chatting with everyone here.  Just got home myself, SM.  Change of clothes and off to the gym for a spinning/abs class.   Abs class in the morning at 6, too.  My middle needs the most attention.   Sad     (exercise)

OK here's this mornings post, lol

LOL You guys sound like us SM. Ain't love grand when ya get our age. Comfortable is a good word for it. No muss no fuss, no shows to put on, no airs to fan around (unless of course it is to clear it after he does a little 'venting'  Laughing  Scream  Laughing )

Well life here is def not boring these days that fer sure.

Did have hubby do a funny thing the other day. He's been having the issues over getting fired due to some screw up he thought he did. FDA has been in prior testing samples for cross contamination of beef into the other stuff, mad-cow and all that nonsense. So He's finally gotten a bit more settled. i kept telling him not to worry it'd all be good. Well one day last week I come home and he is much clamer, when he's nervous you can tell at the end of the driveway believe me! he keeps looking at me all funny and asks me 'when you got your mojo book out the other day and told me it to just go away it didn't have anything to do with me, it didn't did it?' (I had gotten out my big book of 5000 spells and was looking up something.) Why I asked him, 'because they came in the other day and told us the reports came back from FDA and the stuff was already contaminated.' I simply told him nope, but I told you to listen to me that there wasn't anything to worry about it would all be fine and you didn't do anything in the first place, now didn't I LOL I got a good told ya so outta that one!!! And boy was it fun!!!! Twisted Evil

Had the only fun gal at work leave yeserday, it's gonna suck around there now and the D.O.N. is now gonna be a PITA when she gets back next week cause she's gonna think she is in charge of the kitchen until the new lady starts. Before she left she told all her kitchen staff, and me to watch out for each other and if she does start to cause them grief take it to the Admin, or to Me and I'd make sure the Admin took care of it. Ah aint' life grand!!!  Laughing  Crying or Very sad  Shocked

Well guess I'd best get off here, and go pay my phone bill since it's alreadya day or 3 late, what the hell they're getting paid, right, lol. What's the point of worrying about 'credit score betterment' at this point. Ain't buyin' nothin!  Mad

You all have a smacktacular day!!!! it's gonna be 60+ here today! Open windows here I come after work that is!

Ok LE we didn't need to start a new cuppa, which we did need as I'm surprised the other hadn't long since gone into the  No topics realm, lol, seems it didn't like a string of emoticons I had in it, as it wouldn't let me post it in this new ccafe'.  Mad

Seems I was too tired to figure out the technical reasoning behind the trouble. I sowwwy!!! Embarassed

That's ok new beginnings are good!

BTW you two suck!!! LOL I sooo need to get back on the band wagon but don't wanna spend nearly $700 per year to hit and miss sessions.

I have all the 'stuff' I need right here at home and am trying to get hubby to help me set up a gym in the basement.

Shocked Gym...at 6am ...*faints*.  I suppose because I have started school again this year, after getting home anywhere between 19:30 and 23:30...the thought of then doing housework / homework and getting up at that hour just seems wrong   Laughing .  At some point in the day...somewhere between 'food as medicine' and 'chemistry   Crying or Very sad ill fit some exercise in...hopefully.... On that note, back to the periodic table I go  (bang)  (crying) (jawdrop)   (faint)

Ahhhh....you know, the best thing about the gym is the "reward" afterward.  I couldn't give a hang about the workout!  It's the jacuzzi and steam room I'm after. Oh, to sit in clouds of vaporized water droplets at 110 degrees F, and imagine that you are sitting in a dark, damp, steamy room with a legion of literate Romans.  Interesting.  I did, however, find out how much I weigh, and now I remember why I boycotted scales in the first place.  Grrr!  That's okay, though, Mr. K was a lot more than he thought, also.  His smug grin of self satisfaction was erased completely when HE stepped on the scales!!  NYAAAA!

But, I feel good, and that's all that matters.

Akina, I envy you.  I could no more study chemistry and "get it" as fly to the moon with my beanie.  That has got to be one of the most difficult things to learn!  Goddess bless you!

Novia, I refuse to do this in "sessions".  Although I would love to learn how to do yoga properly, I'm not social enough, nor brave enough to join a class.  I'm contented to just look stupid as I fumble through the machines and then happily crawl into the hot tub.  (Which, by itself is worth the 30 smackers a month!) hottub

Thank you, LE, for starting us up a new "cafe".  The old one was lookin' sorta worn out and tired. Smile

40 smackers a month for me, SM, but you're right.  It's the reward afterward.

No jacuzzi or steam room here tho.  I am always ready for a nice warm shower as soon as I get home.  Sometimes I have to soak in the tub if I feel my muscles were overworked.

I fumbled through the machines for several months before I started getting bored with them and they weren't producing further results as my body had gotten used to the routine.  I joined the classes and I love it.  Each one is different and I like the loud upbeat music.  That way you don't have to listen to everybody's groans and moans.   Laughing   The trainers have a mic so we can hear what they are telling us to do.
Also, they turn the lights off and turn on this dance floor sorta light.  Not a disco or strobe light, thank goodness, as that would probably make a lot of people sick.  But at least you can't see everybody.

I'm on my way this morning to a spinning and abs class.  I usually help set up the room then pick the first spot on the back row in the corner.   Very Happy
At least you are going together with your hubby.  Having a partner is a good thing when going to the gym.  Enjoy and keep up the good work.  It does pay off.
I like to move it, move it!      (Happyfeet)

See mine was $51 a month and mostly I hit the pool. To swim laps and to join in the water areoribs class, and not always able to make it due to 'other obligations', which made my swimm sessions quite costly!  Crying or Very sad
See what aggrivates me, with myself, is that I own more machines than I need and if I used them should look like a shortass runway model, lol. A little thing called a 'Body by Jake' machine that does everything and is compact size, my incline board to do inverted sit ups (my fave!) do 10 of those an ya konw it, lol, and the exercise bands and free wieghts, not to mention the treadmill!! Like I said I can set up a whole gym, if I had the motivation to do that! LOL

Well sitting here taking a short break. Am tackling my kitchen that has gotten totally outta control. Want to do some cooking, but have to first find my damn cabinet tops!  Mad

I will be so glad when we find oldest a car and I don't have to play chauffer!!! it's not taxing, but time consuming and sometmes ya just wanna come straight home, strip into house clothes and veg!

So, oh look, the snow has me shut in for the day so I can do something! Might just make weekends 'ME' time with no runs for kids what so ever, unless I so choose to!

Ok finished my breakie (eggs, hashbrowns, turkey sausage) back to work!

later cuppa clanners, will pop in later!

Wow, you guys.  Now I feel spoiled.  Embarassed I guess I must have got it for a good price.   Smile

I'm soooore this morning, but I feel good.  I'm with Novia on kitchen duty.  Been doing some of that and the laundry.  When I can kick the other half out of bed, I'll start in there and then clean the bathroom.  Sounds like Mister K. feels pretty good, too...ZZZzzzz*snort*.  He's keeping a pretty good rhythm with the washing machine!

LMAO seamonster!!!    Laughing

Novia, I got my Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells a couple months ago, but I use it mainly as a reference and inspiriation. I find it more fun to make my own - makes it that much more fun and powerful in my opinion. Now, if I'm racking my brains and can't make my own spell, then best believe I'm borrowing one.   Embarassed

Akina, what degree are you going for? Chemistry was a gray class for me. I LOVED doing the experiements and seeing the outcomes, I hated balancing equations and knowing each elements atomic structure.

Bathroom duty for me this morning, guys.  After I got home from the gym and showered, decided to go ahead and tackle it while it was still wet.  Laundry was later.  It sucks because I have no laundry hook up in my apartment, so I have to load it all up and go do it elsewhere, but I can do all my laundry in an hour and a half and be back home.  I don’t dry everything so I end up putting them on hangers and decorating my apartment with clothes hanging all over the place to dry.  lol

Novia, I think if I had all that equipment and weights and such at home, I wouldn't be motivated either.  For me, it is knowing the money is coming out of my checking account whether I go or not and that is my motivation.  Money is tight for me, so I want to see something for what I am spending.

Last year was a liberating year for me and I began to see a new life starting for me....facing 50, living alone and being on my own for the first time in my life; looking at my life and not knowing how many more years I have here (hopefully many more), but wanting to make the most of them and be as healthy as I can and enjoy the rest of my life to the fullest; trying not to beat myself up for all the wasted years but looking ahead, anxiously awaiting what each day unfolds.  There are good days, bad days, some wonderfully better than others, and those that are horribly worse than some.   But I feel alive!  Hey, I am alive!  I think  Confused

I have found that going to the gym and working out helps keep my mind healthy, too....a very important reason for me to keep going.

Anyway, now to decide whether to bake the fish I thawed out or go to a friend's house for tortilla soup.  Hmmm, fish could wait til tomorrow.  Oh, well.

Good evening to all you cuppa folks.
