Liberated Magical Desires

Have you ever thought about why it is we WANT things?
We see a contrasting situation: light/dark, good/bad, hot/cold, soft/hard and we automatically make a preference. Id rather have this because its soft, or Id rather have that because its hot.
But then we get the thing we wanted, and just when we should be satisfied what happens? We find something else we want.
Some philosophies say that it is this wanting that keeps us unsatisfied, and so they teach abstinence, but that leaves us feeling unsatisfied as well.
Perhaps it is the desire for the current bright and shiny thing (that catches our eye at the moment) which keeps us hoping for more, expectantly anticipating the joys that are on the way.
Could it be that it is the life force flowing through us into whatever we desire next that is really the gem we are looking for?
You want the desire because it is the idea or the goal or the Creation that is responsible for a good amount of Life Force to flow through you. The main event is the Life Force that is flowing through you, not the manifestation. And if you don't believe us now, wait until that manifestation has popped, and realize that its power to draw life through you will be greatly diminished. That's why you keep wanting another goal and another goal and another.

This is why it is so important to have a list of goals from which to choose so that we always have another goal to place our attention upon after the last one has been achieved.
Without dreams of achieving our goals we do not summon much life force. When people stop dreaming they soon stop living.
Ive heard older folks agree that goals are necessary for long life. Some feel that when all a person's goals have been met they will soon die. Perhaps it is because we stop summoning this life-giving Source Energy without new goals to achieve.
If the ALL-THAT-IS is Mind (as the First Hermetic Principle tells us), and if the Universe (this ALL consciousness) is continually expanding by flowing into new creative ideas and desires, then learning to summon this energy and direct it into achieving those dreams and goals that we want has a grander purpose. Directing this energy feels good for a reason.
Perhaps it is to let us know that, here, in this place where consciousness and awareness meet where awareness of the contrast and awareness of our preferences are perhaps THIS is actually the leading edge of this expanding Universe of thought.
How Liberating it is to realize that I am helping to direct this ever expanding energy. Through the power of my thought I can help the Creator expand by lending my preference to this expanding Source Energy.
I am truly a spiritual being a child of God (the 2 who make the perfect 1). I am growing into the likeness of the Creator learning to become a magical creator in my own right.

QUILT OF HOLES
As I faced my Maker at the last judgment, I knelt before the Lord along with all the other souls.
Before each of us laid our lives like the squares of a quilt in many piles; an angel sat before each of us sewing our quilt squares together into the tapestry that is our life.
But as my angel took each piece of cloth off the pile, I noticed how ragged and empty each of my squares was. They were filled with giant holes. Each square was labeled with a part of my life that had been difficult, the challenges and temptations I was faced with in every day life. I saw hardships that I endured, which were the largest holes of all.
I glanced around me. Nobody else had such squares. Other than a tiny hole here and there, the other tapestries were filled with rich color and the bright hues of worldly fortune. I gazed upon my own life and was disheartened.
My angel was sewing the ragged pieces of cloth together, threadbare and empty, like binding air.
Finally the time came when each life was to be displayed, held up to the light, the scrutiny of truth. The others rose; each in turn, holding up their tapestries. So filled their lives had been. My angel looked upon me, and nodded for me to rise.
My gaze dropped to the ground in shame. I hadn't had all the earthly fortunes. I had love in my life, and laughter. But there had also been trials of illness, and wealth, and false accusations that took from me my world, as I knew it. I had to start over many times. I often struggled with the temptation to quit, only to somehow muster the strength to pick up and begin again. I spent many nights on my knees in prayer, asking for help and guidance in my life. I had often been held up to ridicule, which I endured painfully, each time offering it up to the Father in hopes that I would not melt within my skin beneath the judgmental gaze of those who unfairly judged me.
And now, I had to face the truth. My life was what it was, and I had to accept it for what it was.
I rose and slowly lifted the combined squares of my life to the light.
An awe-filled gasp filled the air. I gazed around at the others who stared at me with wide eyes.
Then, I looked upon the tapestry before me. Light flooded the many holes, creating an image, the face of God. Then the Creator was before me, with warmth and love in His eyes. He said, "Every time you gave over your life to Me, it became My life, My hardships, and My struggles. Each point of light in your life is when you stepped aside and let Me shine through, until there was more of Me than there was of you."
May all our quilts be threadbare and worn, allowing the Light to shine through!

iberation is a great need for the natives of this birth sign. Piscean people are given to bondage of various forms: physical, mental, and operational. We see this in the glyph of Pisces in the cord that binds two fish together. This symbolizes the need for Piscean people to liberate themselves from the bonds that they themselves have forged. It also reflects the need for all of us, as people living in a world largely formed of the bondage values of the Piscean Age, to liberate ourselves from the shackles of archaic cultural restraints. Let us consider then, in this decan of Pisces, all the things that serve to keep people in bondage. Let us all look within ourselves to find the means of seeking the freedom that we must have in order to develop from the Piscean Larvae to the Aquarian Butterfly.
Consider the things that shackle our bodies and prevent us from freely using them as a useful medium to enable us to move upward. We should consider too, the mental cages in which we allow ourselves to be locked, the iron masks of ideas which prevent our minds from becoming liberated and soaring into the realms of the mental world where true reality is found, and where our minds run free.
We must consider the operational harnesses which ourselves and others may have buckled upon us. These things prevent us from functioning freely. We must be free. Free from all things that prevent our freedom of thought and action.
Let us consider all these things that keep ourselves and others in bondage. Then let us unite together in compassion and kindness, and work actively together to free ourselves and others from these cultural bonds.
