Good Witch Spotted Searching for a Starring Role in a New Dream
By Carolyn F.

Glenda had a thought, "I've been in this same dream for years now, I think I'll search for a new dream."

She was a good witch, always watching over Dorothy. But, the dream was getting dull. Glenda felt she would snap if there was not a change soon.

Since she was of the mindset to make things happen, she decided to venture across a particular body of water she'd visualized in her mind while over-spending her time in Oz.

She was a woman of responsibility and didn't want to leave Dorothy without assistance. So, she made a double of herself. Glenda Two would cover the stale dream so she'd be able to set her inspiration free.

Off she went floating in her bubble just over the water; she was searching for a starring role in a new dream. The tranquil water was done in pinks and blues, there were also a few small islands speckled around, and a few little puffy clouds. And, oh how Glenda loves her bubble, talk about a protective core, this bubble is bullet proof from bad energy. She also loves that it is just big enough to fit her dress and her wand. What else could she possibly need? Glenda has never been a shopper, she just uses her wand when she needs something. But more often than not, it has mostly been used to transfer ruby slippers from a dead witch to Dorothy's feet. Well we won't get into that again, but the routine was getting on her nerves, and she needed to start to think of herself for a change, literally a change.

She waved her wand and within her bubble, she saw many dreamers, there were people having nightmares, people having strange lucid dreams, women running from monsters, men having dreams of secretaries, men running from monsters, and women having dreams of secretaries. Hmm, Glenda would have to tighten down her magical wand request.

Just as she did, there were three dreamers appearing on three screens in front of her. One was too young, he was having dreams of being an astronaut, chemist, and/or a social worker. Glenda could just not see how she could currently shine as the star in any of his dreams.

The second dreamer had unusually long eye lashes, she was in her mid-thirties, and her dreams were mostly about flying and teaching others to fly. These looked like fun, but Glenda uses a bubble, and this woman didn't need a vehicle. So, once again, it did not feel like a fit.

The third dreamer was an attractive man, he looked so peaceful as he slept. Glenda wanted to just wipe that tear away from the corner of his eye, the one closest to his pillow. This dreamer was named Alex. His dreams were of finding his soul mate, and what Glenda liked was that each night he would look in a different direction. Wow, a man of adventure! He was the one!

Just as her decision was made, she poofed herself into his dream and waited for him to turn around and notice her for the first time. He turned around, and the energy was so electric that it immediately popped Glendas bubble. Alex was not even really sure he'd seen the bubble, it popped so fast; all he could do was gaze at the beauty of this gorgeous blonde in front of him. Glenda, actually feeling at a loss for words, was equally in love with the beauty of Alex's energy.

It was love at first sight between the two. Finally, Alex broke his gaze to ask Glenda about the wand she carried. Her voice, softly shared a quick story of it's uses, and she offered for him to hold it.

Knowing she was the one, Alex made a wish, and waved the wand. And poof, they were both waking up next to each other in bed. Glenda was still wearing her beautiful gown, it left little room for Alex on the queen-size bed. As Glenda opened her eyes, she saw a roof over her head. She felt a little clausterphobic, momentarily. She looked around the room and one by one inspected Alex's nic nacs neatly placed on a dresser and shelves. She realized she had not taken a breath since she awakened, probably from a bit of shock. So she stretched and yawned and pulled herself up to straighten her dress, and finally asked in her soft yet meaningful voice, "We are no longer in Dreamland?"

"This is real," Alex said as he pinched himself on the arm, "we are no longer in Dreamland."

The transformation was so immediate, that Glenda forgot part of where she came from. But it all flowed back, once she looked into Alex's eyes again. She noticed that tear still there in the corner of his eye, and she wiped it away with her thumb. "This could be good" she thought to herself, after all she's always been about being good.

Glenda inquired, "but how will I star in a new dream if this is reality?" Alex, looked deeply into her eyes and said, "Life is a dream, and you will always be the star of your own life."

Glenda gave up her wand, and was happy to get a job. She also found she loved shopping; especially buying new shoes. She never missed her bubble, she felt safe and loved in her new world.

Alex didn't really want to give up the wand. But, Glenda was made of magic, just through her beauty and goodness. Alex knew they were meant for each other. He had found his soulmate. They married a year later.

Tina was their only child. As a baby, when Tina took her first breath a wand appeared next to her. Glenda and Alex put the wand away for safe keeping. Although, they made use of it a couple of times when Tina made some unusual decisions as a teenager. On Tina's 21st birthday, they realized she had turned out to be a very good witch. They gave her the birth wand. Tina packed up, and took off for dreamland. Her vision was to spice up Dorothy's dream, in a good
