The Courage to Stop the Struggle
Written by Misty-Eve
Friday, 03 April 2009

We enter this life as little pre-programmed computers that gather information in the form of sensory input attracted to us by the vibrational feeling we continually transmit.

But then we see contrasts between what IS and what we’d rather experience.  This is unavoidable and even necessary if we would become creators of new experience.

However if we learn to dwell upon what IS, and point out all the unwanted characteristics of what IS, and explain to our friends how much we Don’t Want what IS, then we are actually re-creating more of what IS.

Dwelling on the unwanted produces struggle, because we know with every fiber of our being that things should be going well for us.  When they don’t, we want to explain it in some fashion, but explaining it only causes us to re-think the situation that IS.

So how do we get what we’d rather have instead?

Each time a contrasting situation arises we have a choice.  Are we going to complain about what IS and remain in a feeling of frustration?  Or will we use the recognition of this contrast as a pivot point to turn toward that which we’d rather have instead?

If every thought we think produces a vibration that attracts a similar vibration into our experiences, then we must consider which we’d rather have more of… what IS, or what we’d rather have instead.

If we choose to attract what we Want instead of what we Don’t Want, then our work is to stop the struggle against what IS and think more about what we’d rather have instead.

Why struggle?

We come into this life with a pre-planned set of strengths to acquire and a set of weaknesses to overcome.  The experiences of our lives are such to teach us about these qualities within ourselves.  Everything is happening right on schedule.

If we want to experience a higher vibratory level of the situations we are attracting then it is our job to stop the struggle against, and think more about what we are for.

Do you KNOW what you want?  Do you have the COURAGE to go after it?

If we are each a child of God, and will one day grow into the likeness of our spiritual Parents, then it follows that we will grow into a magical creator in our own right.

Maybe the contrast is brought to our attention for the purpose of creating something better.  If we are courageous enough perhaps we will dream about what we’d rather have until we attract it into our experience.

Mars, the ruler of Aries, says “Do It Now!”  This is what gives Aries people all their will power. He tells us that if you want to be happy, you need to get happy now. Those who are Aware know that all Real Life exists only in the present. You may have been happy before but that moment is gone. You can't be happy in the future, for the future is not here yet. The only time to be happy is the only time in which you can possibly be – NOW. Make up your mind to simply "DO IT NOW" and be happy doing it. Then Mars will smile upon you, and you will have gotten His message.

Will you stop the struggle?  Will you learn to dwell upon what you’d rather have?

Do you have the courage to become the magical creator of new experience?

It’s worth thinking about…

MY RESPONSIBILITY

There are two aspects to suffering — one positive, one negative.

The negative side is that your mind becomes disturbed from the suffering and you increase your negative emotions. When that happens, you might do something negative to other people. The suffering may be a cause for creating more suffering.

The positive side is that the suffering can wake you up; it can encourage you to look at your situation and change it. You can say, "I'm suffering because of the things that I myself have seen or done." Then you take responsibility, which leads to change.

COURAGE: QUOTES OF THE DAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“To see what is right and not to do it, is want of courage.”
~ Confucius
“Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage.”
~ Anais Nin
“What you resist persists.”
~ Carl Gustav Jung
A PLACE FOR WORRIES
Surrender Box
There are times when our minds become too full. Our to-do lists, worries, plans, and dreams may be so crowded together in our heads that we don't have room to think. We may believe that we are somehow taking care of our desires and concerns by keeping them at the forefront of our minds. In maintaining our mental hold on every detail, however, we may actually delay the realization of our dreams and the resolution of our worries because we won't let them go. At times such as these, we may want to use a surrender box.
A surrender box allows us to let go of our worries and desires so the universe can take care of them for us. We write down what we want or need to happen and then place the note into a box. By writing and placing our thoughts in the box, we are taking action and letting the universe know we need help and are willing to surrender our feelings. We give ourselves permission to not concern ourselves with that problem any longer and trust that the universe is taking care of it. You may even want to decorate your box and place it in a special place. Your surrender box is a sacred container for your worries. Not only do you free up space in your mind by letting go of our worries and desires and dropping them into your surrender box, but you are giving your burden over to a higher power. Once we drop our worries and desires into the surrender box, we free our minds so we can be fully present in each moment.
Surrendering our worries and concerns and placing them in the hands of the universe doesn't mean that we've given up or have been defeated. Instead, we are releasing the realization of our desires and the resolution of our worries and no longer concerning ourselves with their outcomes. It's always fun to go back and pull the slips of paper out of the box once your requests have been granted. And it's amazing how quickly problems go away and dreams come true when we finally let go and allow a higher power to help us.
ARIES: ”I AM”
2nd Decan Influence: COURAGE
March 30 – April 9
Courage follows initiative like a ram follows an ewe. Courage comes directly from the power of the will, stemming directly from initiative. That is to say that desire powers the will and initiative gives one courage. Courage is the capacity to carry what you have started through to final completion. DOING gives courage, and sees it through.
