Beautiful Thoughts create a Beautiful Life
Written by Misty-Eve
Saturday, 02 May 2009
The following is excerpted from WINNING THINKING by Dr. Mike Cortson
My THOUGHTS create my EMOTIONS
My EMOTIONS create my VIBRATION
My VIBRATION attracts similar FREQUENCIES.
Happy thoughts create happy emotions, happy emotions create happy vibrations, happy vibrations send out happy frequencies that attract similar vibrations.
Doubtful thoughts create doubtful emotions........blah blah blah blah blah!
THAT is how it works. If you aren't happy right now in the moment, you are not creating happy emotions or creating happy vibrations.
Doing this, allowed me to beat cancer and a stroke. It is certainly worth the effort!
I keep my focus on FEELING GOOD - no matter what - and things just keep getting better and better for me... I can't believe how easy life has become for me simply by making feeling good my #1 priority in life.
~ Excerpted from WINNING THINKING by Dr. Mike Cortson

It’s difficult in the beginning to change one’s way of thinking, but - with a little practice - change will come IF being happy is important to you.
Is it?
It’s worth thinking about…

CHOOSE YOUR THOUGHTS ~ SHAPE YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES
"A person cannot directly choose his circumstances, but he can choose his thoughts, and so indirectly, yet surely, shape his circumstances."
~ As A Man Thinketh, by James Allen
"Take the story of two brothers who are twins. One grows up to be an alcoholic bum. The other becomes an extremely successful businessman. When the alcoholic is asked why he became a drunk, he replies, "My father was a drunk." When the successful businessman is asked why he became successful, he says, "My father was a drunk." Same background. Same upbringing. Different choices."
~ by Pam Golden, Choose the Happiness Habit
The brothers chose different thoughts about the identical experience. Those thoughts over the years shaped the circumstances they now find themselves in.
There was a time in my life when I chose to think about challenges and obstacles as just more of the "bad luck" I seemed to attract. Ever hear the expression "when it rains, it pours?" That was my constant mantra when others asked me how things were going. So what do you think I got more of? If you answered "RAIN," you’re correct!
"You’re either living in the problem or you’re living in the solution."
~ Bob Proctor
Now, when I’m confronted with what I used to think was a negative situation, I use a different thought process. I force myself to replace those negative thoughts that creep in with positive thoughts about how I might solve the "problem." Sometimes I’ll take a notepad and just start jotting down ideas that might be a solution. At the same time, my thoughts are focused on the possible lessons I might learn from the situation so that I might profit from the experience in the future.
If you’ve guessed that it doesn’t "rain" as much in my life as it used to, you’re correct again. In fact, most days it’s a beautiful, cloudless and sunny day! Only occasionally now do I get any rain, and it’s good rain, the kind that makes living things grow.

RESPONDING BEAUTIFULLY
~ Excerpted from Success.com
During my high school and college years, I was, at times, what we called a real "hot head". I was very easily angered and often expressed it. What I did not realize at the time is that my anger and hostility would almost always be misdirected due to my initial reactions. I reacted first, then thought later rather than thinking first. Responding, on the other hand, is reaction with thought.
In martial arts, we teach kids and adults the importance of controlling anger and using their brain to avoid conflict before resorting to physical contact. This is done with practice, and lots of it. Stopping yourself from reacting to situations is not easy, since it seems almost natural (thus the expression "natural reaction"). However, this concept is so important that every effort should be made to avoid reacting to situations and start responding to them.
Here are some reasons why your response to situations can be vital to your success:
• Many business deals include emotion and emotion causes reactions. Doing or saying something in a business dealing out of pure emotion is never a good idea, and it often causes you to make a poor decision.
• Success begins with self-esteem or how you feel about yourself. Have you ever felt good about yourself after "barking" at a co-worker, friend, or loved one?
• Responding to a potentially life-threatening situation could save your life. You can't be successful if you are dead! (I guess you could be successfully dead...)
Responding is reaction with thought.
As we already know, your mind is an amazing tool that is capable of generating appropriate responses to situations in a mere fraction of a second if you let it. The key is to work on holding back initial reactions until your brain has a chance to present you with the proper response. Some people refer to this as "getting composure".
Have you ever seen a person get all emotional when rebuking a statement someone had just made then in the middle of their yelling just stop, take a deep breath with their eyes closed and calmly say something such as, "Listen, I am sorry for getting so upset, but..." This is a perfect example of response taking over a reaction and a great first step!
As you consciously work on responding to situations, the time between the stimuli and response will lessen until it is almost instant. Once you master this, responding will be a task handled by your subconscious mind and it will be done without any conscious effort.”

BEAUTY: QUOTES OF THE DAY

“People are like stained glass windows:
They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light within.”
~ Elizabeth Kubler-Ross
“Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart.”

I CREATE BEAUTY IN MY LIFE
by Jeffrey Proctor
Spirit is a very real presence, within myself, and it knows how to create out of its limitless Self whatever I can envision. It does this relentlessly, whether I want it to or not! And so I choose to be clear about what I envision for myself and my life; I picture the beautiful life I want.
I refuse to put any limits on what is possible for me, and let loose all the old restrictions of time and space. Spirit has none; so I let it work without boundaries to create my highest vision in absolute perfection, because, as Joseph Campbell says so well, “Follow your BLISS and doors will open where there were no doors before.”
I spend time each day clarifying my thought, being quite certain that I think only in ways that support and nurture my vision of life. My consciousness is naturally attracted towards that which I desire, and I let
it flow there easily and regularly; not with a sense of longing or 'wish it were so', but with a clear understanding that what I contemplate, I become...and what I am, I experience.
I refuse to spend time dwelling on the problem, the history, the limits. I notice those and know that they have no say whatsoever in what I choose to create in my experience. My partner in creation, the unlimited beloved spirit of all life, knows how to move beyond what I see as "problem". I let it do so.
I give thanks for this powerful process of awakening to the beautiful life that's already mine to share, to enjoy, and to celebrate! And so it is.

Taurus: “I HAVE”
2nd Decan Influence: BEAUTY
May 1st – May 10th
It is appropriate that Taurus' 2nd Decan of BEAUTY falls on May Day as it heralds the beginning of one of the most colorful times of the year. Beauty is the handmaiden of Attraction. It is Beauty, most of all that Attracts us. Taurus is the sign of Venus who is, herself, the epitome of beauty and attraction. Taurus is a feminine sign and we find that Taureans are beautiful, loving and attractive, pleasing of line, of color of form and behavior.
These attributes are the first steps of love-ability, for if the eye is not pleased the heart rarely seeks to know. Beauty then is first learning to be appealing which leads us toward learning to love, and thereby power our magic. Magic should always be powered with love, because whatever we send out comes back to us 7-fold. Therefore we would be wise to have the great 'Law of Cause and Effect' working in our favor.
In our society beauty is a much abused idea. Far too often commercial and artificial standards have been imposed upon it. But beauty, like truth, is insuppressible and inalterable, for it lies in the person who beholds it. Magically, we are all beautiful for we are children of the Gods and all Their creation is a thing of beauty.
Let us each make an effort to see the beauty all around us; the beauty in ourselves: the way we look, in what we do, think and say; as well of the beauty in those around us. It has been said that “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” This is the beautiful influence of Taurus’ 2nd decan. We find ourselves attracted to what we see as beautiful. Thus do we learn to see the beautiful part of ourselves mirrored in what we see as beautiful in others.
