Betane Greetings!
The week-end gathering was so beautiful! I have so much to be thankful for.
I went camping with beautiful company in beautiful surroundings this last week-end. Each evening we were visited by a raccoon, several squirrels and even a rabbit. We went to bed with a chorus of sound in the forest to put us to sleep.
"If you listen close at night, you will hear the creatures of the dark, all of them sacred -- the owls, the crickets, the frogs, the night birds -- and you will hear beautiful songs, songs you have never heard before. Listen with your heart. Never stop listening."

This morning my heart is singing. I have been energized as a result of this gathering. It is truly wonderful to be surrounded with like-minded people, camping together as if living in a little village.
One of the greatest delights of the week-end was our meditation together!
The Field by Lynne McTaggart, is a book Ive been reading recently which I highly recommend reading if youre interested in physics and what science has discovered about the true nature of life. It is full of scientific experiments and the results which demonstrate our deep mental connection to everyone. It goes further to say that were not only connected during our waking hours but when we meditate together we become aligned with the more cohesive brain pattern in the group in much the same way that a magnet makes a pattern (order) out of iron filings.
The book goes further to say that when our thinking becomes aligned and in tune with each other that we naturally CARE about each other more and feel it more strongly when someone is out of alignment and needs the strength of the group.
Meditating together, therefore, improves the group mind of those gathered and puts us all on the same wavelength of thought.
It is truly beautiful to meditate with like-minded folks!
Magic seemed to be found over the week-end every time I turned around. For example, we were running out of firewood for the Saturday night campfire and during the day I had been thinking of going out of the camp-ground to get some more, but while I was meditating some fell out of the trees on either side of our car (missing the car thank goodness!) After breaking it up, the fallen wood ended up being a full armload - just exactly what we needed to set afire the larger logs that we still had. It was perfect!

Gratitude for all that IS
As May begins, the Sun and Mercury in Taurus remind us of the importance of communicating our Gratitude for the gifts of life we receive everyday. Many take their lives for granted and forget how blessed they truly are especially when they are going through difficult times. No matter how challenging life is, if we look deeply enough, there is always something to be grateful for. Many native traditions teach us of the importance of giving Gratitude for being alive. That we have life and that we live are considered the most precious gifts we are given in many native cultures.
Practicing Gratitude everyday is a magical act that elevates and harmonizes our vibrational field, drawing to us more and more to be grateful for.

Giving advanced Gratitude adds to this in miraculous ways. Advanced Gratitude for experiences and things that have not yet happened begins drawing them to you.

SURROUNDED BY BEAUTY
Beautifying our surroundings can help create an atmosphere of calm serenity that will have a beneficial effect on our mood and mind-set. It is easy to overlook the fact that we are deeply affected by the quality of our surroundings. While being surrounded by clutter and chaos can leave us feeling overwhelmed, spending time in peaceful, orderly surroundings will impart a soothing, calming energy. Adding an element of visual beauty can also help us feel positive and uplifted. These beneficial conditions will affect nearly every aspect of our lives, making us better able to concentrate, connect more deeply with others, and sleep soundly. Taking time to surround yourself with beauty and serenity today could enhance your mood and greatly improve your quality of life.

Taurus: I HAVE
2nd Decan Influence: BEAUTY
May 1st May 10th
It is appropriate that Taurus' 2nd Decan of BEAUTY falls on May Day as it heralds the beginning of one of the most colorful times of the year. Beauty is the handmaiden of Attraction. It is Beauty, most of all that Attracts us. Taurus is the sign of Venus who is, herself, the epitome of beauty and attraction. Taurus is a feminine sign and we find that Taureans are beautiful, loving and attractive, pleasing of line, of color of form and behavior.
These attributes are the first steps of love-ability, for if the eye is not pleased the heart rarely seeks to know. Beauty then is first learning to be appealing which leads us toward learning to love, and thereby power our magic. Magic should always be powered with love, because whatever we send out comes back to us 7-fold. Therefore we would be wise to have the great 'Law of Cause and Effect' working in our favor.
In our society beauty is a much abused idea. Far too often commercial and artificial standards have been imposed upon it. But beauty, like truth, is insuppressible and inalterable, for it lies in the person who beholds it. Magically, we are all beautiful for we are children of the Gods and all Their creation is a thing of beauty.
Let us each make an effort to see the beauty all around us; the beauty in ourselves: the way we look, in what we do, think and say; as well of the beauty in those around us. It has been said that Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. This is the beautiful influence of Taurus 2nd decan. We find ourselves attracted to what we see as beautiful. Thus do we learn to see the beautiful part of ourselves mirrored in what we see as beautiful in others.

Betane Greetings!
