I'm just about as close to pooched as it gets.
Today was my first full clinic rotation, right after a techniques class. In other words, I gave three full hour massages back to back, two of which were very deep tissue work. After a full day of classes. Even my lunch break was spent running around, because I forgot my clinic shoes at home. I'm exhausted and sore, but happy, because I'm sore in the right places. If I was using bad posture I would have sore arms and hands and wrists. I'm pleased to report that while my arms and hands are tired and heavy feeling, it's my butt, legs and feet that are really feeling it. Which means I was recruiting power from all the big muscles, which is what we aim for, so yay!
The cast of characters and their quirks I had on my table today included all of the following in no particular order: whiplash, high blood pressure, Hepatitis A, a life art model, full arm numbness, chronic low back pain, tight shoulders and necks, lumpy quads, and calves bigger around than my waist on a runner. All three were fabulous people, and I can with a smile on my face say that I love this, and I think I will be able to do this every day... but right now I'm lucky if I can motivate my feet to carry me to the shower.

I'm not crazy, it's just that I enjoy talking to the trees and singing to the moon...

Take it easy, Sweetie. It sounds like you've had a busy day!
