Finally, after 6 years of being packed in my closet, I went threw all but one small box and tossed out about 90% of all the crap I had been storing in there today...and it felt GOOOOOD! Out with some baggage that held bad memories. Maybe getting though, digging through the old and keeping what needs to be kept, (things that were Mom's, Baby pics of the Kids, and a few heirlooms).
Old pictures of ex's and old collection of poems. Old decor items that no longer suit my personal taste. Why did I keep this crap so long? Why was I hanging onto pieces of the past? Things I kept packed away as though they would ever have the same meaning again? Hardly!
I'm certain at this point, that some of my energy issues have been this "pack rat" harboring. Mom was a product of WWII and they saved everything. I guess I picked up some of those traits.
But I also have to say, that should I need to pack up again, I've learned what I DO need and DON"T need.
And as an added bonus, I found my brass incense burner, and my all time favorite candle holders that I thought were "withheld" because the boxes were mislabeled. When the city incinerates all the paper and photo material, all that negative energy can finally be released.
What I would have given to be on my own land to burn it myself. But alas, it's not to be.
Whatever hair tickled me to do this today I don't know. I'm not good with charts and stars, And I see much more left to do...but this was something I was compelled to do today, and my gut tells me to do more purging tomorrow.
Maybe get through the desk in the living room.
