Greetings everyone! I just wanted to be polite and introduce myself. My name is MountainMoon22, and I live in the
Blue Ridge Mountains near Harper's Ferry, West Virginia with my husband, son, and a crowd of indoor and outdoor pets.
I am a writer and part time English professor at a local college. I've been lurking for a little while, and it seems like such a
lovely forum that I couldn't resist joining. I'm usually a solitary, but I meet with a select group of people for rituals and holidays.

Hello and welcome MountainMoon.

I'm absolutely envious of where you live. I'm in the piedmont of NC, and try to make it to mountains at least twice a year. What is your academic area of concentration in English?

Make your self at home!

Thanks for the welcome. I teach Composition and Literature, my academic interests
lean towards (mostly, not exclusively) European folklore,mythology, and Critical Theory;
I'm just a collector of random factoids, not an expert.

I love W.Va. My in-laws had a beautiful place in Hampshire County. It broke my heart when they sold it (crying) . I always felt so at peace when I was there. It didn't matter if I was on the back porch listening to the wind blow through the trees on the mountain, watching deer or turkeys in the fields, or what ever other wildlife I encountered while I walked the property. It was always especially beautiful in the fall. The foliage during the fall is simply spectacular. I'm hoping my wife and I can retire there in a couple years.

Blessings
