This has probably been the most... interesting i think would be the word for this weekend. let me start on Saturday...

I got about 5-6 hours of sleep because i was too d*** excited for the Summer Solstice rave my best friend Alex, my mate Maverick and I were going to. During the day i had to park cars for an event going on so there went half my energy, then at around 8 we started heading out on a 45 min car ride to the location of the rave. Due to lack of sleep(that my fault cause i <3 my video games^^;   (Game)   ) i was already tired.

So we finally get to the rave and we danced like there was no tomorrow from bout 9 to bout 11:30/12:30 before i realize that, Hey! there is a foam pit(like bed soft squishy foam, not soap foam)! first you have about 2-3 feet of foam blocks and chucks on top of a trampoline that is 4 feet off the ground with bout 3 feet of foam underneath. safest place ever and softest. people were jumping in and having an awesome time so we decided to join. After a couple times of jumping in Mav (who is about 275) jumped in and somehow compressed the foam enough were we heard a loud snapping crack... the time was about 1:30 and we called an ambulance and i drove behind in his vehicle for bout 30 min (never driven at night before... i have very little driving exp. and am only 17^^Wink

He ended up breaking his femur bout 2/3 way above his knee and popped his knee out of place. i had to go home and sleep for 2 hours before getting up and heading back out to the hospital cause his surgery was suppose to happen between 7-10 in the morning on Sunday. Started at 10 and went til 1:30 then recovery went til 3. hung around the hospital for as long as i could before mother picked me up for fathers day diner(which is only for my grandfather) then got to bed at bout 1 and got up at 7 to head back out to the hospital and am currently sitting there watching him sleep as he is exhausted from physical therapy and am exhausted myself. ^^; what a couple of days here at the hospital ^^; oh my^^;

lol so I've been able to tell. It hasn't helped that he was refusing some of the painkillers cause he was trying to be macho about it (he may be bigger and taller,  but not macho ^^;)finally talked him into cause he was hurting so much. hopefully he will be heading home tomorrow though so we shall see Smile

Well, I thought things couldn't get any worse, but hey!

He was suppose to get out today but now he has a couple blood clots on his lungs... so now they are giving him blood thinners and he has an oxygen mask on. And to go with it he is also coughing up a bit of blood. They think they will be able to release him in 2-3 days now, but he will have to be very careful and not do anything really for 2 weeks, because if he cuts himself then well, he wont stop bleeding because of the blood thinners...

on top of all of this, my mother thinks I' m over doing it by wanting to be by his side. Right now he is scared and so am i and my mom is not letting me go see him and saying really rude mean nasty stuff to me and making me feel like shit for wanting to comfort him...

though on a lighter note, one quote is stuck in my head...

" I just know, before this is over, I'm gonna need a whole lot of serious therapy!" ~Donkey (Shrek)

Hey, Sis.  If you are over 18, no one can stop you from visiting.  If you aren't it is a good idea, even if Mom is not right, to respect her wishes.  If you feel like you are scared, Light a candle and do some visualization.  Sometimes things are just out of our control and we have to wait it out.  If you aren't there physically, you can call, right?  Put your energy into making him something with your hands that you know he will like.  He will feel less scared if you are not scared.  Trust the Drs.  and show hope for a quick recovery.
Meanwhile, I will light a candle and you have my love and support coming your direction--for both of you.

Think of it this way, if your not up there maybe your friend will be more apt to take his pain meds, and not feel the need to be so macho (as you put it). Not to mention if he went through all of the surgery and now has a clot the best thing for him is to rest. With you there, he may feel more obligated to try and stay awake instead of getting the rest that he needs. In the hospital one doesn't get much sleep with all the nurses and staff always coming in the room every couple of hours waking you up, and the machines going off. (due to the alarms ) So like SM said just send as much good energy his way as possible. Best of luck to you and your friend!

Ugh, I know how you feel sweetheart.  Last year me and my hub went horseback riding on a couple of green horses. Well, I shattered both of my wrists, and he broke his left wrist after our horses spooked and bolted.

As far as mothers go... they can be very difficult.  Calming down quickly takes practice, and if you meditate for a few minutes every day, it'll become a lot easier.  Of course, there are days when you feel like you just can't calm down so going for a walk or distracting yourself may help.

As far as your lover's injuries, I'll light a candle for him for a quicker recovery.  Poor guy, he'll be okay though.  I'm sure it was quite an adventure for you and him though.  I know everything will be fine, so don't worry so much.

Brightest Blessings

ok, time for even better news(<----sarcasm, complete sarcasim)

Yesterday-
He is now in the ICU. the blood thinners put too much stress on his lungs and tore part of one. they have him stable for now. They are currently hoping to get him out of ICU by tomorrow.

This morning-
He is doing a lot better. the nurses are not sure though if they are gunna let him out today or not. They are gunna scan him again to see if the clots have gotten smaller. if not then there will be trouble. oh yeah. and they also found another blood clot in his leg that could pose as a future threat.

I am still sending lots of energy his way.  Try to think positively--I know its tough right now.  Do some visualization exercises where you see him up and moving around and healthy.  Breathe.  Go to the Sonic drive through and get an ice cream on the way over to see him.  (Or on the way back).  Focus your thoughts and energy away from the complications of this injury and into a more healing form.  The more worried you are, the more worried he will be and will be less likely to heal as quickly.  When you present yourself before him, do you show him an outcome of misery or an outcome of complete healing?  What future do your thoughts and facial expressions project?

Sm is right. I know that it is hard to try not to think about the bad things that are going on, but you need to try and just focus on the fact that he will get better and come home. I am still sending energy your and his way. Good luck!
