Okay, I've got a serious sunburn so that could have something to do with it.


In my dream, I'm out in the woods it's daylight and somehow I stumble upon (what I'm calling) a murderer.
He gets it into his head he wants some zombies. So, he ends up killing a man and a little girl by stake. (Think how Ivan the Terrible used stake but stick it where the heart would be instead) Then he does a spell to turn them into zombies once they are dead.  So, the zombies run off doing whatever the murderer wanted them to do.  

In his (I'm guessing it's a him) cockiness, he ends up leaving the spellbook laying on the ground. I end up getting the bright idea to try and reverse it. (Yeah, I'm very smart) So, I summon the zombies back to me and make them lay back down as they were on the stakes. (For some reason in order to reverse you had to make them go to sleep them physically lift them off the stake) So, Anyway. I start the process, exactly as the book says, then I go home.

Well, I'm "woken up" by my radio saying that there are zombies on the loose killing people and they are doing it with garden forks. Then I hear a banging against my dresser just *thump, thump thump* over and over like someone keeping running into it. So, I turn on my light and look. It's the little girl (who for some reason I want to call emily) She's got a garden fork but it doesn't look to be harmful and she got the appearance of a zombie minus the insane decomposition. I stand there and watch her for a few minutes as she moves her way along my dresser.  It turns out for some reason she wants in my closet.

Than I wake up.


I hate having random dreams like these. Normally, I "don't" dream.

Any thoughts would be nice.

Bramble, we all dream. Most of the time people don't remember what they dream, but they do dream. As for what that means couldn't tell ya, sorry! Did you watch a movie or read a book with zombies in it lately? Sometimes I know that your mind processes stuff that you have seen, heard, or read not long before you go to sleep. It's just a thought, hope it helps.

The only nightmares I have ever had were always about zombies.. All scary, one or two were wierd too though.. Maybe we're just really weird? lol, I know I am..

Maybe your poor head got a little fried as well as the body?  

From my own experience, zombies signify something that has been "put to rest" in your life but that you are resurrecting, or trying to bring back to life.  However, just like any zombie, those things in your past that you try to "bring back up again" aren't quite the same as a normal living thing.  In your dream, you see a man kill another man and a girl.  (These may be aspects of you that you've killed or "put down" for whatever reason) and the "murderer" (the thing that caused them to be put away) wishes to bring them back as something not quite alive and not quite dead.  You are aware that this is something that needs to be put to rest, but in order to put it to rest, you have to physically do the dirty work.  You have to actually face the problem and get your hands dirty in the process.  
The little zombie girl is you and you are wishing that you could go "back into the closet" (?).  Why?  What does a garden fork mean to you?  Is it a weapon meant to kill, or is it a tool meant to till the ground and help the plants to grow?  Or both?

Thank you all *hugs*  Yes, my brain could have burned a little bit along with the rest of me.  I apologize for the odd wording in my post. I wrote it maybe 5 minutes after I got up.  Sea, you do make a lot of sense as far as how you read the dream. It's possible that I have some things that I need to work out (that I don't even know I do) As far as the garden fork, the only thing I can even thing about that being from when I was little was when my mom and I planted a small garden and grew watermelons (the first thing I ever grew, and they ended up splitting down the middle. As far as my mom and I could tell they weren't rotten in anyway).

As far as Emily (even though she might signify myself) when I was smaller I was very bubbly,cheerful, and smiling. (Not so much now just due to various family "issues") The only thing I can think of that would fit as far as having buried something and trying to bring it back is my "little" self (Which I told my mother would never be able to come back, this was when I had said it originally, which was over 5-6 years ago) which could very well be a strong possibility.

The closet could be because that's where my "little" self has been for so long and it's comfortable there. It's not sure it wants to be out in the open quite yet.

Getting dirty that one's pretty simple to me. I'm wanting to get off my butt and exercise some more. I know that's going to require effort, focus, ect.

So all in all it could just be me putting some (if not all) my little insecurities down to rest.

Wow SM, thta was brilliant.  I read this post and couldnt think what to say about the dream..usually I get some sort of 'insight', but I have so much crap going on atm here, my brain is but a pile of mush  .

For many years I had lots of zombie dreams. Many involved them either stalking me, or doing things that zombies are not known for doing, like warfare. In those, sometimes the zombies wielded weapons and fought like warriors. It took me many years to consider the possibility that the appearance of zombies may have actually been a veneer/illusion in the case of the battle dreams, and in other cases, may have represented a sense of overwhelm, or things that my conscious mind was simply not ready to accept.
