Unfortunately, at least here, I think the prison system helps the unpopular child abusers.  I think they get solitary confinement, or placed in an area with other sex offenders.  Maybe I'm thinking the wrong way, but I wish they would throw them with the rest of the crowd and let prison justice work its way.  
On another note, was that guy actually practicing 'black magic', or just using that to excuse himself of wrongdoing, 'blame it on the devil'..

Well, all I can say is that every sicko out there tries to use some scare to get to kids...look at the catholic priesthood.  They used the same threat, different God...

Humanity can be extremely stupid and this is a wonderful example. Leave the children alone. It isn't society's fault you're miserable, demented, and can't get any.  (This is excluding those that were sexually abused themselves and have found a way to come to terms with it)

Marigold is correct in her statement that sex offenders are kept separate from other offenders-though its usually in a different facility away from the rest of a state's prison population. "Solitary confinement" is an area for carrying out disciplinary sanctions for the boneheads who break the rules of the facility. I also agree with you Marigold that they should NOT be kept separate from the rest of the prison populace . After working in a jail for 23 yrs, I can say from experience that sex offenders repulse me the most- even more so after my kids were born. Its very difficult (especially since I'm a supervisor) to treat them the same as everyone else. I just hope those children can recover emotionally from the abuse they've had to endure. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your energy giving that abusive jerk another thought. Send positive healing energy to those poor kids. They'll need it

People like this disgust me!  Rape and sexual abuse are, in my book, worse than murder and the only crime for which I would support capital punishment.  Rape and sexual abuse do lasting damage not to the body but to the soul.  And people never fully recover from such acts, they can only learn to accept what happened to them and cope with it.  Healing, true healing, can take several life times if it ever happens.  I say throw such people to the dogs!  Maybe one of the guards will 'Accidentally' fail to secure the prisoner's cell one night.  One can hope.

I have heard of people trying to excuse the behavior by saying pedophilia is a mental disorder to.  Well if it is an incurable mental condition (though I doubt it) then we should treat them as we do the criminally insane.  Lock them up in a nut house for life so they can not hurt the innocent.

I have an aunt with schizophrenia who is dangerous at times.  And when the voices start telling her to kill Granny we lock her ass up in the nut house until the doctors can tweak her medications and get her calmed down again.  The thing is we can tell when the voices are talking to my aunt again and act accordingly to protect people around her.  

But with monsters like this man you can't tell.  They are still in their right minds when they commit their horrid acts.  They are cunning, and manipulative.  They take the time to get to know the victim so they can manipulate the victim intro staying silent.  You can't tell they are dangerous until it is to late for some shattered, innocent, child.  

The fact that they can do this tells me they are not mental, just monsters!  And this man will be out in 7 years.  Less if he behaves!  You get more time than that for smoking a doobie in your own home!  He'll be out and free to harm another child in less than a decade!  This sort of thing really pisses me off!
