You know we get our poke sometimes from the most unexpected places.

Yesterday I had an enlightening, whilst brief, conversation with a gal at work, I wore my pent, a Celtic, with a runic sigil on the back. Got it at Renfest  a number of years back. I love it because unless you KNOW something, it is just a purty, because of the pent being lost in the celtic lineworks. The runic sigil on the back is generally unseen as, well, it's the back. Algiz, Othala, and Isa. Protection while on my spiritual journies, seeking to acheive balance. This gal, who has before noticed my ODSS necklace, asked about what the thing on the back meant, and truthfully, I had a notion, but over time forgot the exact meaning behind it. She went on to tell me that she is looking into the NA Shamanism. (Not something she would readily share with others.) I'm honored she felt comfortable enough to share, seems lines of communication have opened up, not to mention a not so gentle reminder of where my heart lies.

I think I'll take her a pressie today. A 'THANK YOU'.

I yam what I yam, and that's all that I yam!!

Wow, Novia!  I would love to have someone at work who had a clue!  No one does, not even remotely.  The closest I ever got was when we had a day where the weirdos were coming out of the woodwork and someone asked if it was a full moon!  (It wasn't, but only I knew the correct phase of the moon)  Laughing   Once when the computers all had hissy fits or nervous breakdowns I mentioned that Mercury was in retrograde and got some mighty weird looks.......oh well.

That is truly wonderful that you had such an experience.  I have always found that Celtic items are generally more respected in the community.  They do not bring with them the dark side and people do not shun them as such.

Lady Tamara.
