I had to take MIke to the ER sunday night becasue he had been feeling dizzy and "off" all day. I am a nurse so out of instinct I said lay down chill out and let me take your blood pressure.... My first reading was 170/90 that's high not high enough to go to the ER... I checked it again in 20 minutes and it had gone up to 190/100. mind you he has had a heart attack before... I grab my backpack and throw clothes in there for both of us and the bag every woman has that has everything out of the bathroom.. LOL when I buy something like toothpaste I buy 2 one to keep in the bag and one to leave in the bathroom. Habbot I guess. My grandfather is sick alot and in and out of the hospital so I was prepared. Well anyway I get him to the ER and they get him in the back and his BP is going down. Thank goodness. It was still high but not scary high. They watched his blood pressure for a few hours to make sure it wasnt gonna go up again, the dr came in and talked to him and gave him a med to take if his bp got high and another to take if it kept being high. So now I have to take his blood pressure when he wakes up when he comes home for lunch when he gets off work and before bed.... I am also trying to find some new healthy foods to cook... I went in the kitchen yesterday and threw away all the salt and salt seasons.... I am not gonna make him eat bland food and have my food normal. That's just mean. If I am going to put him on a diet I am going to diet with him... WHo knows it might help me trying to have a baby. The other problem is he has low blood sugar. So I cant cut out all forms of sugar... Just cut it back and reduce his sodium intake... Thank goodness I have a medical background. Anyway IM sorry this was so long and boring. I just needed to vent a bit. .... Thanks for reading and any advice on hypertension would be great...
