Of late my house has just not been feeling right. I had attributed it to the fact that son moved out, youngest is pretty much that way, and it is hubby and I. Then to top it off we have been doing some painting and such. So, naturally the house is going to start taking on a different energy than I am accustomed to.

Yesterday, however, I pulled up in the drive, looked up at what is usually just 'the house' and I had a forboding sense that it just wasn't right. As I neared the front door, it felt out of sorts even outside the house. When I opened the door, I REALLY did not want to go in. So, I figure it's 'something', just not sure what. I hadn't to this point put out feelers to make sure something wasn't here that weell sholdn't be, haven't invited any visitors, haven't done any meditations (I usually always end up with a visitor!) haven't done any sort of magick work, period, so I konw I've opened no doors I inadvetently forgot to close.

So, point of all this is, leading up to, last night.

I have had troubles sleeping. Tossing, turning, flipping and flopping, kinda resembling a beached fish! So I finally find a comfy spot, facing the far wall, and drift off, yeah, sleeep! BOOM (not the sound, just the feeling) I'm wide awake. somethings amiss. No kids home. Cats curled up on the bed, check. Hubby sleeping, check. all bodies accounted for, so who is moving about my bedroom?! Then it strikes me, a light is on!!! WTF???!!!!! None were on when I fell asleep, can't sleep with lights on, except the kitchen nightlight so as not to crack a hip on the stove when returning from mid night potty breaks. I sit bolt upright, and the light on my computer table is on!!!! it is one of those small touch lamps. Nestled behindish the monitor, beside a two-tiered cd holder, so you have to reach around the monitor, at least past it, to turn the thing on.

TSK TSK TSK!!1 Shame on me!!! I have gotten so far outta it that I, ME, didn't pay atttention to the fact I have a visitor in my home, making me uncomfortable as shit, and haven't even payed attention to the warning signs!!!  

It is a 'HE', and not one I know. I can now feel him lurking, in the shadows. Watching, feels like over my right shoulder, afar though.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I HATE having to go into this mode, in my owh fucking home!!! HOW DARE HE!!!!!    Now he's just gone and pissed me off!!!!

So, anyone with any empathy issues, please, don't take it persoanl!!!

I've found that I can always depend on my male cat to let me know when something is amiss. I love both of my cats, but I could swear that he actually protects me from things like that. I've actually been woken up at night with the "boom" feeling you mentioned, but immediately felt safe and went back to sleep Thomas jumped on my bed and curled up next to me.  I have to laugh at myself sometimes when I tell Thomas to guard the house while I am away because I really mean it.

Do your know much about hauntings? If you are pretty familiar with this kind of stuff, then you could try to contact any spirit that is there, and try to find out a name, or why it is there. If you aren't adept at spirit contact, you shouldn't try to do that yourself, for safety reasons. You could look up the history of the house, to see if anyone died there or something. I would contact a paranormal investigator/medium. I'n the meantime, you could do a cleansing, a simple smudging or something like that.

I'd go with some form of cleaning and maybe a little research into the house. Combining what the other two ladies have said. Also,he could just be a prankster that's not out to do any real harm. That's my thought at least. Keep us posted!

Well the only person who died here was my Mother in Law.

Actually after i got my feathers unruffled, and my panties of a bunch. I did some listening, and some pendulum work, after I paid attention to a card draw I did using my Sacred Path cards the other day. final card, victory banner, was Vision quest, which speaks of calling on the allies, and the ancestors in the  need. So, well, shit fire and save matches!!1    Ask, and well I do receive!!! Just wich they'd give me fair warning when they are sending someone into my circle!!! Damn those Universal keys!!! Opens anyones doorways, no matter how good a lock ya got!!

Something similar happened to me in our old house.  The TV would turn on & off, things would jump (not fall, they were in baskets) off the shelf in the closet (the basket was still in place, just the contents on the floor), electronic items still in the boxes would turn on.  It all started when I started painting the inside of the house.  It was a "he" and "he" was scaring my boy (who was aboout 5 at the time).  I just sat down and had a little chat with him.  I named him "Chris" and told him that if he wanted to stay, he had to be nice.  I also said that before I made any major changes to the house I would let him know before I started working.  That seemed to take care of the problem.  Oh sure, sometimes "Chris" had to make sure that I remembered he was there, but he stopped being distructive.  Good luck.
