NOW Enters the Month of VIRGO
by Misty-Eve*
August 24, 2009
VIRGO
August 24 - September 23
Divine Influence = "I ANALYZE"
Virgo's Message = "Look! God's truth is everywhere!"
Key to Understanding Virgo = Service
Element = Earth
Quality = Mutable
Ruling Planet = Mercury
Mercury's Command = "Discriminate and Analyze"
If the lesson of life is to learn to love, then finding ways to express this love becomes a sacred duty in service to the Gods. Those who are full of tension/hate, haven't learned the importance of this sacred duty.
Those who discipline themselves to maintain relaxed emotions and love become shining examples of this divine energy by reflecting this love to those around them.
The best example of this loving energy at work is found by expressing your love in deeds.
To align the vibration of our conscious thoughts with Source Energy at the core of our being, we must freely choose to do so in ways that will an example of the love that shines through us from our Creators. When we do this, we are then aligning our actions harmoniously with the divine love within the core of our being. Aligning our thoughts and actions with this Creative Power makes us more powerful magically.
This love MUST be expressed by ACTIONS, not by mere philosophical ideas. There are endless ways to express your love for others by your actions. Words are ACTIONS - tell those you love that you love them. You can't do it too often. Then make the rest of your actions tell the same story.
After all, if you do not love your brothers and sisters, whom you have seen, how can you say that you love our Celestial Parents, whom you have not seen? There is nothing else YOU can give Them that They don't already have, but your SERVICE.
How many ways can YOU find to be of Service this month?
It's worth thinking about

THE MAGIC OF THE VIRGIN
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Greeks, who understood so much, and the Romans, who used it all so well, had a great regard for the Month of Virgo. Both understood the Celestial Virgin to represent the Goddess Demeter and Persephone, the mother and daughter combination that are the female deities of the ancient wisdom. It was at Eleusis, just outside Athens that the Greeks celebrated the Mysteries of the Goddess who disappeared into the Underworld every winter and returned to bear forth in Spring. Her symbol was a stalk of wheat, representing the fecundity of the Mother Goddess.
Virgo occurs in harvest time and the ancients honored the Goddess above all others for they recognized the importance of the Earth's bounty for its essential value in preserving life. Many people today tend to attribute this to the supermarket instead of the blessed Mother Earth.
Mother Earth's Command: "Thou shalt groom the breast of the Goddess as a garden of Wisdom for all Mankind".
As we study Wisdom we are encouraged to till the Mother Earth that we might have our own knowing of the fruit that She brings forth for us. Her injunction comes down to us across the ages: "Thou shalt groom the breast of the Goddess as a garden of Wisdom for all Humankind". If acted upon, this gives us an opportunity to see and know through our own experience the fecundity of the Virgin, Hertha, Mother of Pan, and wife of the Sun. As we till the Earth, we find this Wisdom for ourselves and in the Month of the Virgin the harvest thereof ripens and fills our hands with Her bounty.
I ANALYZE: The Divine Influence
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This influence teaches us to "Analyze" our life and thought patterns. What a stirring discovery: how to take things apart and size up their working parts. The nature, portion, function and relationship of all of the parts yield their secrets to analysis. It must be this urge which manifests itself in the child who suddenly finds a desire to take apart his father's watch; and the results of that endeavor are only too well known. When we begin to make a spiritual analysis, we take apart our perceptions of the world and analyze the parts. Thus, at least to some degree, we come to know what makes it "tick". Virgo people have this natural analytical ability and while sometimes it gets them called "picky-picky", they know that no way else will they understand the thing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SERVICE: KEY to Understanding VIRGO
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Key to understanding Virgo is Service, and serve they do, but in their service they also love to everything apart and examine the parts. During the month of Virgo we all feel the influence of the Gods to serve to understand the wisdom in performing work for others. We can do well to watch a Virgonian for a while, if we know one, and let their behavior show us how to serve one another.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MERCURY: RULER of VIRGO
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The sign is ruled by none less than Mercury himself, and Virgo is tied to Hermes, child of the Gods, and Teacher of the ancient Wisdom. Hermes, giver of the Arts of Wisdom, teacher of humankind, Master of the Mind, Father of Medicine, The Great Communicator. All these attributes rule the people born within the influence of Virgo.
Mercury's Command: "Look! God's Truth Is Everywhere."
Wisdom crieth aloud in the streets. All of nature around us, everything we find is shot through with the Wisdom of creation and it is only for us to look, and listen, and thus from all that is will we know and that is Wisdom. As we observe the Wisdom which surrounds us we can also, if we will, hear his command, which is: "Discriminate and Analyze" character strengths of the Virgo once again, for this tells us that if we take apart and analyze what we see and hear and feel, the anatomy of Wisdom will reveal itself to us, and thus knowing - Wisdom will be ours.

ARE YOU SERVING?
"You may be good, but what are you good for? You've got to be good for something. You've got to be about some project, some task that requires you to be humble and obedient to the universal principles of service."
~ Stephen R. Covey
"We had to learn ourselves, and furthermore we had to teach the despairing men, that it did not matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life but instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life, daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and medication, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for the individual."
~ Victor Frankl , Holocost survivor
"If you think you're too small to have an impact, try going to bed with a mosquito in the room."

SERVICE: QUOTES Of The DAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile."
~ Albert Einstein
"I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I do know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve."
~ Albert Schweitzer
"A man is truly ethical only when he obeys the compulsion to help all life which he is able to assist, and shrinks from injuring anything that lives."
~ Albert Schweitzer
"If I have been of service, if I have glimpsed more of the nature and essence of ultimate good, if I am inspired to reach wider horizons of thought and action, if I am at peace with myself, it has been a successful day."
~ Alex Noble
"To serve you, is to serve me. If what I am serving you is good, then we both have a sweet taste".
~ Sumana Galli
