hi i'm new to this site (recommended by lady elaine via facebook!) i'm relatively new to wicca, have been reading about it for i would say about a year now. very interested as it sounds the right path for me. i am about to undertake my year and a day studies so any information on study materials etc will be greatly appreciated.
i also have a strange aspect of being in a relationship (nearly 10 yrs) with a christian so i can honestly say me takin this step is very hard as is it against his wishes, but although he doesn't support my choice i think he accepts it.
i am currently reading kaatryn morgan-douglas's book 'all one wicca' which i am finding very spiritually enlightening and am looking forward to my first official samhain!!

I think you will fin d much to aid you on your path here....most of all the people who live in our beloved castle......feel safe here, and be sure that you canask any question, and you will never be laughed at or scoffed.....this is the best site on the net when it comes to friendliness and info....

A word of advice.....don't limit yourself to a year and a day......every one of us learn something every day...you never stop in this way of life.....and that is what it is....a way of life.  And as you take these first few baby steps, be kind to yourself, it can seem overwhelming.

My advice:  Find something you are interested in....and jump in...with all your heart and soul....the rest will follow.

i am following the year and a day just to learn before i fully dedicate myself to wicca. though i feel it is the right path u never know till you try!!!
i understand it is always a learning path as you will never know everything in one lifetime but i think everyone needs some guidance before walking the path alone (i will be a solitary wiccan), even if it is just to have a good stable belief in the practice.
i am already understanding how friendly everyone is here and how open they are about situations goin on in both their personal and spiritual lives and i am so glad i can be a part of that and learn from the wisdom of others whom i may never have met apart from this site!!
