Tonight, just before Mr. K went out, I saw a red circle or ball above his head.  It was very faint.  At first, I thought that it was a reflection of a light bulb or something that had been burned into my eye, but whenever I moved my gaze away, it was not there.  Whenever I looked at Mr. K, it was directly above his head.  I'm not sure what I'm seeing, so I have a question which may or may not be complicated.
Mr. K is going through a really rough time right now between our ending marriage, very bad work issues, money problems and to top all of this personal stuff off, his father is dying in Egypt of kidney issues and his brother as well with esophogeal cancer.  He has a problem expressing his emotions but he vented a bit today while I listened (although he misunderstood my silence--*sigh*) and he holds most of that stuff inside.  I'm wondering if what I'm seeing is a physical manifestation of that frustration/hurt/fear/worry/anxiety/stress?  I don't think this is anything from the spirit world that is attached to him.  I get the feeling that it is from within?  I did tell him about it and told him to be careful.  He looked at me both with fear   and with the idea that I've finally gone off the deep end,  (hit) and asked me, "what does that mean?"  I told him I had no idea, and until I do, to be careful...of what, I don't know.  He said some Arabic/Islamic words that are meant to ward off the devil  and went his merry way.   (runaway)

I think you are probably right about it having something to due with his emotions.  What to do about it I have no idea.

Sounds like it is his inner being reaching out for help in how to cope.  I know you do care for this man's well being and something, somehow, is reaching out to you and you can believe and trust for his protection thru whatever it is he is going thru or is about to go thru emotionally.  

I know that makes no sense whatsoever, but nonetheless........

Seamonster, You were seeing an aura. Our aura's can and do change daily with our emotions. I would imagine the red ring around his head is a form of anger, frustration.

Aura's can look like crowns or halos, they can be around the body in many different shades. One of the more interesting aura's I have seen was with my local witch (who's my teacher), her sister. The sister is very psychic, and is also a Pisces. I saw her aura in a few different shades. Pink that was almost magenta, purple, and blue they were all separate but looked almost viscus. Like an oil slick swarming around her. This was just this past Litha too.  

I'm currently reading a book about aura's written by Ted Andrews but I haven't gotten very far in it.

It does sound like an aura, like Amberwood said.  I bet his emotions have something to do with it.  If I were you I would practice detachment here.  He has stuff he has to go through in his life and it's fine to be compassionate if that's how you feel but keep yourself from being dragged into his drama.  He is choosing how he reacts to his situation just like you can choose how you want to react to yours.
I once drove past a house that had the dullest, heaviest grey "cloud/fog/mist/shadow" thingy over and all around it.  It was so wierd I almost went off the road.  Later I found out it was where a family was mourning the suicide of their son.  I rarely see auras but that was so profound I have never forgotten it and it happened 34 years ago!

Wow, you're right!  I do need to "come away" from it a bit.  I've had problems detaching a tad too much (angrily    and vengefully... ) from failed relationships and now I guess I'm trying to overcome that on the other end.  I'll just be glad when this is over.

Reminds me of in the cartoons how they draw those squggly things over peoples head to immulate anger/irritations.

Seems comic drawers are more aware than we give them credit for.  

I'd have to agree with the aura aspect.

Which is why they are comic artists and not mainstream fuddy-duddies!
