Just need to let off steam on a topic that just pisses me off or makes me sad as hell everytime it is brought up. and it just seems no one can just shut up about it ever, somthing is always going back to it

(im just venting. some of the more rude stuff is just me being unreasonable i know it will get bad. it just helps...)

FUCK FATHERS. mothers too at that rate. people are always making such a big deal about them. they are nothing they mean nothing. people can be fine without them. quit making such a big deal about it. To all the daddys girl out there, you fucking spoiled brats, aw lucky you, you have someone there to listen and support your ideas, get you stuff and other shit. YOU CAN DO FINE WITHOUT. learn to stand without anyone there. Mothers are nothing either. I mean, how can people just tell them everything and anything. you cant trust them. they sit there and smash you down, ideas and everything. they then keep you from doing anything if you show any interest and threaten to stop you from doing what you want  even if you are succeeding on it. they use everything against you. they dont actually care. you dont need a father to be proud or a mother. its just your weak ass self not being able to think yourself good. who the fuck cares anyways. ITS YOUR OWN INSECURITIES.
Why would anyone go run and cry to a parent? showing them your weakness, they never cared. GROW THE FUCK UP. FUCK ALL YOU FATHERS AND MOTHERS. YOU CANNOT BE TRUSTED. ITS YOUR FUCKING FAULTS THE WORLD IS THE WAY IT IS.

why do girls make a big deal about their fathers... it doesnt make any sense... who cares if they are there for walking you down the isle or being there for prom or boyfriends or anything. ITS STUPID.

reproduction of the next generation. the rest is triffles.

now, about all that frustration, anger, disempowered behavior built up inside YOU...maybe you're still using dad and mom as a crutch after all? what would this clusterf*ck of energy do if it didn't have someone to attach to?

The 'father' has been gone sence before i was 10.  and 'mother' isnt the kindest person at all. i know that some mothers and fathers are ok.some are even great. its just does everyone always have to make such a big deal about them?

Because without them, whether or not they are great, you would not be here.  I am a mother and I really am offended by being told to fuck off.  Evil or Very Mad  I'm sorry.  I'm sorry that your parents haven't stepped up to the plate, sweetheart, but in your case, you do have to rely on yourself.  However, I would prefer it if my children come to me when they need help with something.  Its my job, no matter how old my kids get to take care of them as far as I am able.  Its not because my kids are a bunch of pussies that they may come to me.  Its because they know that they can find my love even if they can't get much assistance financially.
I appreciate that you realize that not all mothers and fathers are evil, but it simply is not true that all parents cannot be trusted.   Smile
There have been times in my life when I've needed my parents, too, and have been handed an empty "package" (as it were).  Yes, it is frustrating, but my parents, in doing that, taught me a great deal about being self-reliant.  You are still quite young, my dear.  You'll learn.

Please don't lump us all together! Mothers and fathers are only human, after all!  My kids know they can trust me.  I've tried to learn from my own parent's mistakes, Silver Wolf's Cry.  I think most of us do!  There are lessons everywhere, which lead to opportunites...

What's the big deal about parents?  Perhaps you'll not fully understand until you become one, hun!

I lost my father years ago and would give anything to have just one more of our "waxing philosophical" conversations!!!

And Seamonster is quite right!  Without them we would not be here, experiencing the highs and lows, laughter and tears, joy and sorrow... and all the other experiences that are part of LIFE!  Life is precious and anything changes... sooner or later.

Blessings!

I know not all mothers and fathers are bad. What mainly bothers me and gets me into rants like that is when i see people talking about how their parents are proud or how they are a daddys girl or how they cant wait to have their fathers at their weddings or anything like that...

Lots of pain there Silver....I hope it heals for you soon. It is great to be independent, but it is better to be independent because you want to be, not because you feel you have no one you can count on.

Sounds a bit like you are disappointed with your lot in life.  If I understand you, sounds like you feel your parents have really let you down and not been there for you.  I am sorry for that.  You have every right to be angry for not having been blessed with better parents.  Are you going to hold on to that anger and bitterness and let it gain power over you?  Or are you going to accept it and figure out how to live your life better because of it?  I'm sorry , when the time comes, no one will be there to walk you down the aisle, but maybe you can be proud of the strong young woman you can become and walk alone, head held high with dignity and power coming from having had to go it alone.  Blessings, Silver.

I can understand your feelings about your parents.  I was fortunate to have one good one.  My mom was always there when I needed her.  She isn't perfect, but she is there.

My father was another story.  He was apart of my life until mom divorced him unfortunately.  The day we left still remains one of the best days of my life!  He was one cruel bastard and a filthy hypocrite.  But it's one of those things you have got to let go.

By worrying about the lack of a father in your life and letting things get you worked up you are allowing him to continue hurting you.  You need to banish everything about him from your life and move on.  As long as you dwell on him he wins.  And you deserve better than to continue being hurt.  Unfortunately letting go is easier said than done.  I still have problems with it from time to time.  Some scars never fully heal but we must move on or the wounds stay open and bleeding.

Perhaps what you need is to sit down with a trusted friend and let out all the hurt that is bottled up inside you.  All the pain and disappointment.  All the bitterness and anger.  Let it all out.  Cry, scream, throw pillows if you feel the need!  (just not at anything breakable.)

Then maybe preform a banishing spell to get rid of the negativity.  Use a picture of your father or something that symbolizes him.  I am sure the wonderful people here can provide the perfect spell?

Hugs, Silver.  I'm so sorry you have such weak parents but perhaps you will be able to learn from them and turn it all around for good when you become a parent yourself.  As for the daddy's girl and the walking down the aisle and all....my daddy walked me down the aisle for my first marriage and it lasted 9 years.  For the second, I went to the Justice of the Peace and it lasted 20 +.  So that has no bearing on the marriage itself.  It's just knowing that you have their support for the step you are taking in your life.  Since you don't have this support system, you will have to be your own and do something that suits you.  If the time comes for you to marry, have a close friend stand for you or who says you have to have anyone do this at all.  A nice hand-fasting ceremony with your coven or group of friends present perhaps?   Smile

Silver, sweetie, I'm very sorry that your parents are such a major disappointment for you. As a parent myself, I can say that your feelings toward your own parents may be justified, btu the same can not be said for all parents. Within the last month, I've lost both of my parents and you couldn't find two better people in the world. Their whole life revolved around each other and their children & grandchildren. Pure love was all they had for us, and each other (they were married 46yrs). When you made your intitial post on this topic, it was the day after my mom passed on. I was absolutely enraged at your assessment of "ALL MOTHERS and FATHERS". I wanted to post an immediate response, but thought it best not to as it would have been filled with more emotion and grief rather than objectivity. Know this: anyone can be a mother or father, but it takes someone special to be mom or dad. I have 2 teenage daughters (16 & 18 yrs old). And I can safely say that they love both mom & dad tremendously and know that they can depend on us as a sort of safety net. Granted, they've had opportunities that some kids their age haven't. But I have also strived to keep them very grounded and making sure they appreciate the bleesings they've received because they are very aware of those who are not as fortunate. Yet they don't judge others, they don't get involved in little "clicks" in school, and they are very loyal to friends and family. I would like to believe that these traits are at least to some extent due in part to the time and effort their parents have spent with them guiding them to just doing the right thing. Thats not to say they are perfect little angels. Not a day goes by without them pulling mom or dad's chain. But at the end of the day, there's always a goodnite kiss and an "I love you" before bed. That's what I knew growing up, and my kids will know the same thing. I agree with Amethystone in that you can take the negative in your life and turn it into a positive. You know what having bad parents is like. If you ever become a parent, be the one you wish you had growing up. Let go of your anger sweetie before it consumes you like a cancer. A very wise man once said: "Be the change you wish to see in the world" (Gandhi, in case you're wondering). Rather than casting seeds of envy, contempt, and anger, I would challenge you to find the good in your life. Nourish it, cultivate it, and I promise you it will grow. And you will be a happier person in the end.

Blessings,

Draco
