anyone know a recipe for an all-natural jewelry cleaner? i'd like to clean my engagement ring, scrub out all the baby lotion that gets collected and make it sparkle again.

was wondering if something abrasive like ground apricot pits would be safe and effective? what could shine the metal band? the stones?

thanks for your input!

For some metals like silver and copper, you can use baking soda.   Smile

I use my steam cleaner, holding the jewelry with my jewelers pliers.

If you are using a tumbler, you can purchase polishing media that is made from crushed corn cob or walnut shell. If you are concerned with exposure to chemicals, be sure to get the untreated media. Treated media will likely have some polishing agent on it. It works well on most jewelry. Just be sure any stones on your jewelry are secure before you place the items in an electric tumbler because the vibrations may shake the stones out of the setting(s).

Blessings,

Draco
