I don't know if this is because I'm getting older or if this is something on a bigger scale.  
Over the past year, I've been feeling that something is going to happen.  I've been re-evaluating my life, and last night, I couldn't help but touch my husbands face, feeling how much older we've become since we first met and our life together.  Not only that, I stopped sweating the small stuff, and I've started cleaning my house of 'junk'.  
Is this because: I'm more mature thus aware of my surroundings??  precognition opening up something else?? starting of menopause??  something else is happening in this world?? maybe my questions on life and reading material these past years have made my mind kind of loopy.
I'm not frightened but I'm very curious as to why I feel this way.  I know that no one but myself can answer these inner questions but does anyone else have these feelings?

I agree with Realeyez.  I think there are some major changes afoot and its definitely in the air.  So much is happening at such an accelerated rate that it makes the head spin.  Mother is starting to clear her throat.

I wonder if part of the odd feeling is that the whole 2012 thing is starting to seep into people's minds. I was home sick last weekend, and the media seems saturated with apocalyptic type stuff, especially related to things like 2012 and Nostradamus' prophecies. The whole world does feel like it's holding its breath lately. Not sure if it's a genuine thing or a media manipulation, maybe a bit of both?

I too get those feelings. I believe as we grow older we tend to take stock in our lives. The things that bothered us before, do not seem that important anymore. I think it is the process of growing. We are born into this world to learn and take that knowledge with us into the afterlife. I do believe in recarnation, If we learn what we came for then our next life will be richer for it.
I do not sweat the small stuff anymore it isnt worth getting stressed over. and the junk we accumulate thru the years are not important as they once were. We find love for one another is what it is all about. I am 48 years old and have become aware of my time left and want to make it as plesant as possiable and love my family and mankind.

Part of what I'm feeling is because of my age, I'm sure, but I think there is an awareness growing.  I agree with you Mountainmoon, that there is media manipulation that is providing hype (hysteria) about 2012, and the year 2000 wasn't that long ago, so doomsday is still in people's minds.  
But also when I think about things like the random number generator which showed a curve before the 911 attack, and I think there was another curve before the tsunami, it seems that there is a group consciousness, so maybe people are thinking of a big change because there is one coming.

i'm 28 and don't watch the news, and i'm also aware of the growing awareness of awareness � . take it for what it's worth.

on the serious side definitely something is happening across the board...I just wish whatever "it" is I wish there were some clear indication of what direction we are being pushed or pulled towards.
I am noticing a lot of anger and resignation....and sadness.

My take on the whole 2010 thing is In my heart I believe it is going to be growth and renewal. The Mayan calender starts over. The calender had ended before thousands of years ago. They say at the ice age but it brought around change. I do not believe in an apocoliptic end and there goes the world. But something is definately in the air.
