You know one thing I have always been so 'proud of' of us as a group? Our acknowlegment and sending out of energies in times of need.

Why is it then we have talked of babies, cars, divorces, books, incenses, stores, spirits, shoes, and there has bearely been mention of Haiti? Have we grown so disconnected, so self centered as a spiritual (which is what we are mant to be) group that we cannot even offer up a moment for our fallen mankind?

This really saddens me!!!

Novia sweetie, just because not many have mentioned Haiti much here doesn't mean they aren't praying for or sending out positive energies for those poor souls. I truely believe that the vast majority of us here are good and pure of heart. That said, It would be entirely out of character for anyone here with a shred of humanity in them to not send out healing thoughts and prayers toward Haiti. I understand you are frustrated. I also get the sense that you would wrap your arms around every survivor to make them feel safe and secure and to just tell them you understand; you feel their pain; and that you want to help heal their pain. I imagine most empaths aren't doing well right now with regard to the present situation in Haiti: survivors searching for or mourning the loss of loved ones, caring for the other survivors, not to mention the physical pain of hunger & dehydration, the foul stench of the decaying bodies, disease, civil unrest. I could go on and on sweetie. �I don't believe that I'm an empath. but these are some of the things I envision when Haiti is mentioned right now. My heart and prayers go out to the survivors of this horrific event. But at the same time, I am eternally grateful that my own children are safe and that I am able to provide the safe environment they enjoy. Everyday I give my wife and daughters hugs and kisses and pray they are kept safe while they are away from home. For I love them dearly. Some folks just aren't as vocal in stating how they feel about some things. But ultimately, I believe most folks here deserve the benefit of your doubt and you can assume that healing energies are being sent. I think most empaths are going to feel the effects of this for quite some time. As a first responder, you are trained to first ensure your own safety for you would not be able to help anyone if you became disabled yourself- further adding to the casualty count. I get the feeling that you feel very overwhelmed with all of this. So I say to you: don't forget to take some time and heal yourself as well so that you will be better able to help others through this. Its times like these that can and do test your faith. Don't allow darker times like this to enshroud the bright light in you. Have some faith my sister

I think it goes without saying that we all have been sending out our energies to Haiti....it's who we are. A post wasn't made, but in all actuality it wasn;t needed...the people of the castle KNOW....and do send their energies to those in need....some things don't need to be brought to someone's attention.....we are ALL hurting and feeling for the folks their and for the Mother Earth as she is yet today, still rumbling and rolling trying to get settled....

Everything is fine hon, we all have so much on our plates....and I would bet that nearly every person here has said at least one prayer, lit one candle, or burnt incense as an offering to Haitians....and those who are there assisting them in their time of need....

 I have to apologize for my out of place venting here. I know we are all sedning t, it is just seeming of late that we are all losing touch with the castle yet again.

Before it was the first place we OPENLY came to offer up prayers and well wishing, now, we just do our things in our own worlds and not so much within the castle.

No need to apologize Novia. If your friends aren't willing to listen to what bothers you then they aren't very good friends are they? Besides, isn't that what the "Out of Bounds" section is for? Feel free to vent some more if you need to. If more people would vent when something bothered them rather than repressing their emotions psyciatrists would be making far less money and there wouldn't be as many folks on antacids . And after you're done venting, crack the seal on a bottle of wine, light some candles & incense, and allow yourself to drift off to a place where you're at peace with the world, even if only for a little while. Granted, the world is far from perfect. But depending on one's particular point of view, it can be a beautiful place as well. I pray this post finds you more at peace my dear.
