Here is a preview of something new, Pocket Wands. Small, light, and portable.

This one is HIckory, 10 inches long. Not finished yet, needs to dry a bit more.

Reminds me of the wands a fairtale witch has, all bent a crookedy! Awesome!

Oh my.......I love it.....and you know how I feel about the pocket wand idea....the crookedness of this wand is unusual.....it has a very unusual, albeit energizing energy...like a bolt of lightning....

Glad you all like them. Small portable, when you travel, visit, etc.

A couple more hickory, one is 8 1/4 inches, the other is 11 inches and may be a bit shorter when finished.

and i found some nice spiral oaks that will make nice ones about 12 inches

Sundown, the Rune and Wand set came out beautifully, and I know the Soul who received them.....is more than thrilled with them. When you showed them to me, they felt like they would be PERFECT For her......

I finished the pocket wands, ended up with 3, all hickory. I hope to do more soon, lol but soon is a realtive term nowdays.

Although they are hickory, being pocket wands and of small diameter they will break if you leave them in a back pocket and sit on them

Very nice Sundown (as usual   ). I know how difficult it can be at times when working with small pieces of wood. Sometimes the wood tends to be a little more delicate and tempermental when you're blessed whith more than 2 thumbs like me . I have been wondering though: What is the average length of a "pocket wand"? I always assumed they would be about the length of a pen (give or take an inch) so you could fit them ...in your pocket. Just curious . I do know this: the more delicate ones would never survive either of my daughters' nor my wife's pocketbooks- not sure it would even fit   . Anyway, great work my friend.

I don't think there is an average size, just smaller than normal. And size of it depends on stick. But I have seen some ladies purses that a staff would fit in
