I've been thinking about uses for cactii needles, in magick and such.

I am not considered the most traditional wiccan ever, doubting I may even use the term wicca since I don't really use the "an harm ye none do as thou will". Not because I want to hurt people on purpose, on the contrary, I wouldn't hurt someone if I don't need to, or if I don't have a seriously thought through and grounded reason for it.

I don't even call myself wiccan anymore, I am a warlock, with wiccan roots.

But one thing I've come to known about cactii needles is, they hurt!

Yeah no joke, they really do hurt, I am talking from experience... Now you could think they hurt for defense or as an offense, I think they could be used for both, since this is just one of the things that just can be done for both.

People: GET TO THE POINT!

Yeah sorry here it comes:

Cactii needle, magickal ingredient for a defense or offense spell. How would we do this, every witch can think up a few things how they may be used, like:

I am from the element of fire, my sign is aries. Fire is good for offense, and Aries has horns for charging at something. So I would think of, burning the needles in your cauldron, while having a aries symbol or statue on your altar, chanting something around the lines of:

Text in a ritual:

I am (name here) from the element of fire to incinerate (in my case) my sign is Aries with horns to charge, take these needles for an offense purpose, as I would like to (insert reason and target here) SO MOTE IT BE!

And the defense is not much different, just use an general protection or defending symbol, or herbs, incense, or whatever way you prefer. The reason why I am writing this here in the herborium is because it's about cactii needles, and because I thought I would share this with you guys, so you can use it yourself, not only for offense but more for the defense purpose.

I hope you guys and girls won't think I am a guy who likes to put black magick around the world, I believe in gray magickal practice, sometimes you help, sometimes you are the offender, in real life this happens even without you really wanting to, so it's kind of inevitable.

^______^  Awesome post.  I"ll be more then willing to give this a try for the defense/personal protection side. (Hopefully I've read everything right) I think pin needles would work in place of cactus needles though. That's a plant that's never even crossed my mind to use.

I learned something new today thank you!  and no I don't think you're trying to poof to the dark side.  Even with the best intentions a spell can backfire and cause someone harm but also the same can be true tor doing something that originally is harmful that can force someone to make changes for the better.

Pin needles should be fine to, though I think it's more natural to use cactii needles, it's more natury, and in old times they used cactii needles, instead of pin needles.

And that's absolutely true, I am not saying I shun the darker side of life, I love it, but I prefer to stay in the gray area if I may, hehe
