Watching the leaves fall here in Betwixt and Between on a rainy day reminded me of this poem I wrote quite awhile back... Thought I'd share! Smile

AUTUMN/RAIN DANCE

Deep in an elder forest,
As the sun is on the wane,
She dances with the colors
In a gentle autumn rain

Leaves join her as she dances
Red and orange, gold and brown
Swirling gracefully, as she,
While they tumble softly down

Dancing in this autumn rain
As she does, without a care
On the newly-fallen leaves
´Til the branches are swept bare

Stark in their barren beauty
Branches reaching, ever high
As the rain falls on and on,
She departs, with a sweet sigh...

RaevynKiss! That is so beautiful. And two of my most favorite things in the same poem, as well. Vivid imagery. Have you ever considered putting that to music?  aa)

Thank you, sdwillow!  Smile   I actually had a couple of my poems set to music, to be performed at their next gig and then recorded...  But the band had several problems and then decided to go metal  Shocked  when they re-formed, lol... However, you've given me an idea and I'll see what I can do with this one... Thanks again and many blessings to you!
