As hard as it is to accept this year may finally come to an end without the end of the world happening with it! What a long strange trip its been.
I started the year hip deep in snow stuck in the NE in a climate so damn cold you don't need a freezer! Here we are in the south where snow is measured in inches, not feet. We had a beautiful spring summer and fall, but I hear winter is expected to be 'cold' again this year. Not subzero arctic circle cold just cold.
I am enjoying my fireplace and not having to take care of anything outside (maintenance does that) in fact they will come and change lightbulbs for me if I want them to!
I have sorted given away and tossed out tons of clothes that I simply don't need anymore and I am finding that I am less and less atatched to the material stuff with each passing day.
We are debating the whole tree thing since it is just us two we may just get a little one and decorate with only those ornaments that have sentimental value. I am looking forward to a yule log, it will be my first in years. We haven't had a real fireplace in 5 years.
It will be wonderful to ride again this spring (too cold for me in winter).
Summer time I hope to spend some weekends in Florida this year since we are closer. It's all good.

. Always have. I just spent a week on Maui for my 20th anniversary. It was fun. The weather was great (sunny, low to mid 80's) the entire time. And other than wanting to ride my Harley while I was there, I did miss the cold climate. It felt so good when we landed in Newark and I could see my breath (of course my wife didn't feel that way
). I don't think I could ever live somewhere it didn't get cold. I love the change of seasons. I guess what makes them all special in their own unique way is that they only last a short time.

And Yule went well and getting ear plugs for the New Years!
