For the past two weeks, my disease has began to control my sleep schedual.  I've been staying up 'till around 5-6 AM and sleeping 'till merely 12pm or as late as 6pm.  I haven't been taking anything to help me sleep, I'm not working just yet.  Still... this strange dream has been haunting ... okay wrong word.. but none the less it's been in my head.

I don't have a lot of details, but I do remember symbols.

Lapis Lazuli stone
Water (being submerged and swimming)
Horse (growing and then changing species to a moose)
Pregnancy
My husband going missing
Being chased by mafia or similar gang-like group

I'm sorry for being vague.. umm grocery store has also come up, but that was just a simple reminder I needed to call my friends mom for a ride to help me pick up cat food.

Thanks for feed back.  Here's what I think it means.

Lapis Lazuli is known for it's bright blue colour, and pyrite deposits.  It's a healing stone, known for soothing the mind and body.  It's also my husbands favourite stone.

Water is my LEAST favourite element.  I don't like being wet at all, but I'm not afraid of it.  It takes a lot of encouragement to get me in the water, but once I'm in, you can't get me out.  I'm a very strong swimmer and never have had a fear of drowning. In my dream I'm not afraid, not worried, just not pleased to be there.

The horse has becoming more and more of a symbol to me recently.  After my accident nearly 3 years ago that cost me two broken wrists, horses have been something I didn't want to think about.  They're so beautiful, strong and powerful and very emotional creatures.  Perhaps it's my lack of emotional control?

Pregnancy has been something I'm ACTUALLY afraid of.  First of all, I'm only 23, secondly... I nearly died.  Last June I was pregnant.  July 23rd I was put in ER after losing over 28lbs from 135lbs to nearly double digits.  I was scedualed for an emergancy termination.  Doctors told me when I was older I could try again, but if the same thing happened, they would have to tie my tubes because the risk isn't worth it.  I've already come to terms with not wanting to be a mom.  I still have my snuggly old dog, and his new kitty playmate.

As far as being chased... I think it's just your initial predator-prey insticts on over drive.

Anyways, any input would be interesting.

Is this all one dream LMW? Or is it little bits of a few different dreams? There seems to be a lot of different things going on there (in my opinion). Are you sure it a horse you're seeing and not a juvenile moose? They do look somewhat similar (especially if its a female or their young). Animal symbology suggests the horse symbolizes a number of things: strength, loyalty, endurance, overcoming obstacles, freedom, independence, cautiousness, to name a few. The moose is a member of the deer family. Symbology for deer suggest gentleness, swiftness, abundance, intuition, alternative paths to goals, serenity, safety, messages from guides, to name a few. Perhaps the animal symbology in your dream suggests a combination of these things. Is the water part before or after the mafia chasing you? Being from New Jersey, if its after, I'd say they probably caught you and threw you in the Hudson River  Laughing . Did you dream you were pregnant? Your fear of becoming pregnant and your husband coming up missing seem related somehow. Are you affraid if you don't have a baby with him that it will put a lot of strain on your relationship? The concept of childbirth and the water symbology seem linked (to me anyway) some how. Anyway, all of the symbology you've mentioned suggests (to me) that there are some personal things going on in your life that you may need to address. I'm not a psycologist, and the last time I picked up a psycology book was over 20 years ago in college. Good luck darlin'  Smile Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in.

Blessings,

On the note of the horse turning into a moose I would suggest looking deeply into what each animal symolizes to you.  Is it possible that the qualities of the horse, say endurance or loyalty may bring about the qualities of the other?  You know the young animal needs nurturing to grow.  Perhaps there is some quality the moose possesses that you need to aquire but first you most nurture the qualities in yourself that the horse symbolizes.  Just a thought.

And I know you say you've come to terms with not being a mother someday but I have to agree with Draco on this one.  There might be some subconcious worry about it or your marriage.  Just something to think about.

Oh and as a fellow insomniac I just have to say I love Sleepytime tea.  It doesn't have anything to knock you out unless you get Sleepytime Extra but it does help you relax.  I like the vanilla one best myself.  I use to drink the extra but my local walmart no longer carries it.  I do miss the valarian root.

I think the moose and the horse are connected - horse transforming to a moose.  A horse is a domisticated animal, despite wild mustangs - they can still be trained.  A moose on the other hand, cannot be domisticated, they just don't do well.  It's why you can farm elk and other deer but moose is nearly impossible.

My marriage I feel is strained because it puts pressure on us - but not in the way that seems natural.  I've carried once, and lost enough weight in less than a month to go into double digits (from 130-98lbs).  Because of it, I had to terminate.

We worry about it constantly because while we aren't ready for a child anyhow, I don't want to risk him losing both of us, and I don't want to leave him as a single dad at only 21 years old.  I love my husband very much.

Hehe, yeah that was in one dream.  My dreams tend to be VERY vivid with a lot going on, it makes it hard to remember unless I wake up and write them down right away.  I often have a lot of dreams in one night and it's hard to tell them apart because they'll intregrate it.

I thank you guys for the input, it's given me a new view on it.  I think I know what it means now.
