Venus gets starry-eyed with a connection to Neptune on Monday; Mercury is ready for some noble self-expression moving into regal Leo on Wednesday; and the Sun conspires with original Uranus on Thursday.

Leo is the sign of self-expression; what?s not to like when Mercury the communicator steps onto center stage? But it?s not just about self-interests when the messenger planet is in noble Leo. This is a time when our words and communications can be those of inspired leadership, playful entertainment, or resonate with the need for self- aggrandizement. It?s quite the range! Leo the lion resonates with being the king of the jungle and as such, expects a certain amount of preferential treatment. This transit of Mercury in Leo is not about being quiet, humble, or invisible; it?s about roaring our passions and shaking our manes. Want to tell a story? Say it with your wardrobe and hair.

When we resonate to this energy, we may seek out the limelight; we want to be recognized and appreciated for our words, our style, creativity, and magnificence. This placement can be charming and oozing with self-confidence. Likewise, it can represent a person or energy that shines with leadership and the ability to inspire, entertain, and encourage others. The problem with Leo is, just because we WANT to be on center stage or in an influential position, doesn?t necessarily mean we have the talent, skill, or natural ability to do so. But lack of natural talent doesn?t stop those who see a clear objective and go for it; and it won?t stop us from having our voices heard if that?s what we want.

Personally, I love Mercury in Leo as a period of interesting self-expression. As a sign of drama and creativity, we can expect some entertaining spectacles. This sign can be charming, disarming, charismatic, and romantic. And heads up; Mercury will retrograde in July while in Leo. This will provide lots of opportunity to explore the mind and the heart of the lion. We?ll learn lots of lessons around how to use our words and voices in an influential way, and maybe even some lessons about what messages and values are most worth expressing.

As a closing thought, remember to be respectful of yourself and others in your words and communications. Mercury in Leo may act like a clown but his heart beats with the pride of a king.  Until next week, let go and wear loose clothes.

MONDAY

June 24

Moon in Pisces/ Aries

Moon goes Void of Course at 4:10pm enters Aries at 7:38pm

Night time dreams may be filled with confusing symbols with Venus the planet of values squaring Neptune, the planet of illusions in the very early morning hours. And, we might be second guessing some assumptions about what will make us happy or for our highest good, when Jupiter makes an awkward connection to the North Node of the Moon. That?s not such a bad thing, is it? Have you ever been wrong about this before?

The Pisces Moon is imitating her opposite sign of Virgo as she goes into service mode today, easily identifying underdogs and those who could use a little assistance, or maybe a lot. We don?t have to look any further than home and family to identify a person or project that could use our help. The Moon makes harmonizing connections to both Mercury and Mars in home-loving Cancer. Don?t reserve all those good works for the world and fail to see those people and situations right under your nose that could use a kind word of encouragement or a helping hand. Celebrate both the little and big occasions and victories ? the imaginative and colorful drawing of the toddler and the home run at the little league game as well as the job promotion or engagement. It might be helpful to remember to honor people for who they are and not just what they do.

Tonight the Moon heads for fiery and courageous Aries. As emotions are incited, it might be hard to go to sleep. If you find your mind racing in anticipation, try a time-tested ritual for winding down before bedtime. Not only does a lack of sleep impede our ability to concentrate and be productive, credible research points to the connection between inadequate sleep and weight gain. That might be some motivation for keeping a consistent bedtime!

Daily Muse: One voice can change a room, and if one voice can change a room, then it can change a city, and if it can change a city, it can change a state, and if it change a state, it can change a nation, and if it can change a nation, it can change the world. Your voice can change the world. (Barack Obama ? Mercury in Leo)

TUESDAY

June 25

Moon in Aries

Yesterday I mentioned the Pisces Moon was acting more like Virgo; today, my tune hasn?t changed much. The Moon is in fiery Aries and there is a definite regal flavor reminiscent of Leo. (Maybe it?s the fact Mercury is entering Leo tomorrow?) In the early morning hours this independent Aries Moon made a square to the Sun in domestic Cancer. This signals the last quarter of the lunar cycle that began on the New Moon on June 3rd. Sometimes it feels a little like the cosmos is alerting us to the countdown of the clock. Have we accomplished what we intended? Are we happy with where we are? If not, we?re ready to do something about it.

Although the Aries Moon has the ability to collaborate and cooperate; today we aren?t in the mood. We?re feeling more like pulling ourselves up by our bootstraps and letting others either follow our lead or go their own way. We are not waiting for someone else to give us permission or approval. We dig deep within ourselves for the inspiration and motivation and indeed, we find it.

You don?t have to go out of your way to prove you are capable of standing on your own two feet; but it?s a good time to realize how alive you can feel when following your own direction and passion. It might be lonely at the top, but today we?re happy with the view.

Daily Muse: All of us are navigating our own personal yellow brick roads. Some of us are still asleep in the poppy field; some of us remain content with the material pleasures of the Emerald City. Some of us still think that the Wizard is great and powerful and follow his arbitrary commands to curry favor, while others have seen the man behind the curtain and have become disillusioned or feel betrayed. For the rest of us, once we acknowledge that our hearts? desires lie in our own backyard?inside of us?we?ll be closer to home. And there?s no place like home. (James Van Praagh ? Mercury, Venus and Uranus in Leo)

WENSDAY

June 26

Moon in Aries

Mercury enters Leo 5:20 pm

Under the influence of an Aries Moon we may be feeling feisty today, but generally the lunar aspects are fairly agreeable until mid-afternoon when Luna squares Pluto. Somebody?s not going to get their way! Beware of trying to take the credit for something that was really a team effort ? avoid doing it yourself and be understanding if you experience others trying to hog the limelight. If so, the underlying motivation may really be feeling unappreciated and making a clumsy attempt to get some attention. Although most of us resist rewarding what we perceive as selfish or arrogant behavior, when we can bring understanding and compassion to the situation, we may be able to offer encouragement where it is well deserved. This may be more important than we realize when looking ahead to the next few weeks! Read on.

This evening Mercury enters the regal and self-expressive sign of Leo. When the messenger planet is in noble Leo our words and communications can be those of inspired leadership, playful entertainment, or resonate with the need for self- aggrandizement. It?s quite the range! Leo the lion resonates with being the king of the jungle and as such, expects a certain amount of preferential treatment. This transit of Mercury in Leo is not about being quiet, humble, or invisible.

But lack of natural talent doesn?t stop those who see a clear objective and go for it; and it won?t stop us from having our voices heard if that?s what we want.

Daily Muse: You know talking about you makes me smile; but every once in awhile I want to talk about me. Wanna talk about I; Wannna talk about number one;

Oh my me my; What I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I see. I like talking about you, you, you, you usually, but occasionally, I want to talk about me. (Lyrics written by Bobby Braddock and recorded by Toby Keith)

THURSDAY

June 27

Moon in Aries/Taurus

Moon goes Void of Course at 12:51am, enters Taurus at 6:32am

The liveliness of the Aries Moon finally wanes shortly after midnight when the Moon slides into a void-of-course pattern that lasts through the night. This new day will be under the influence of a solid Taurus Moon; but don?t think sedate, relaxed, or predictable. These words may describe some instances of the Moon in Taurus; but not so much, while we are still feeling the fallout of the Moon?s square to the Sun and not when spontaneous and revolutionary Uranus is sitting in Taurus. Not only does the Moon join Uranus today, but also the Sun reaches out and makes an animated and dynamic connection with this planet of originality.

The creative spark is definitely in the air today and may alight anywhere. We may instinctively choose projects, activities, interactions, and situations we find are in perfect alignment with our talents and desires and those of our community and world. You?ve experienced synchronicity before, right? It may not seem logical when an opportunity comes knocking, but it doesn?t have to be. Don?t delay; act on it. This Taurus Moon is ready to be hands-on with creating and building something both functional and esthetically pleasing.

Daily Muse: They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself. (Andy Warhol ? Sun, Venus, Mercury and Neptune in Leo)

FRIDAY

June 28

Moon in Taurus

We are focused today with the Taurus Moon aligning with disciplined Saturn. Even though we may have weekend plans or dreams of a getaway or holiday festivities on our minds, we need to keep our concentration on the here and now. Tomorrow will take care of itself. The lunar alignment with Saturn will provide the structure for finishing our tasks today but come evening, a dreamy connection between the Moon and Neptune definitely vibrates to a feeling of relaxation and leisure. Now you can let your hair down a bit, as long as your schedule and responsibilities allow. Socializing or catching a concert or movie is likely on the agenda for this evening.

Daily Muse: Tell me I'm beautiful, it's nothing. Tell me I'm intellectual - I know it. Tell me I'm funny, and it's the greatest compliment in the world anyone could give me. (Julie Newmar ? Sun and Mercury in Leo)

SATURDAY

June 29

Moon in Taurus/Gemini

Moon goes Void of Course at 11:38am, enters Gemini 2:09pm

We may be busy bees this morning as the pragmatic Taurus Moon makes a favorable alignment with motivating Mars in home-loving Cancer. Chores around the house or in the yard may not seem to be overwhelming as we are energized and inspired by the vision of a happy family and nurturing home. Volunteering to help at the local pool or community bake sale feels satisfying.

In mid-afternoon the Moon eases into chatty Gemini and becomes even more social making a connection to Gemini?s ruling planet Mercury this evening. Keep in mind, Mercury is in Leo and social events could be opportunities for some to gain attention with theatrical behaviors or dramatic stories. While it might be entertaining in the moment to reveal secrets, if they are not your own, others may not be so amused. We might be tempted to veer into topics of conversation that are best left alone. Try to enjoy a lighthearted evening but don?t throw caution to the wind when it comes to private information about yourself and others. Be respectful; Mercury in Leo may act like a clown but his heart beats with the pride of the king.

Daily Muse: We may not be able to stop evil in the world, but how we treat one another is entirely up to us. (Barack Obama ? Sun, Mercury, Uranus and North Node in Leo)

SUNDAY

June 30

Moon in Gemini

The suggestions for last evening hold true for today as well. The Moon in social Gemini opposes over-the-top Jupiter and square?s illusionary Neptune. Are we really seeing things clearly or are we lost in a vision or dream of our own making? We may be feeling a bit lazy, laid back, whimsical or scattered today. The versatile Gemini Moon has many faces and many interests!

This Moon approaching the end of the lunar cycle also reflects wisdom gained through recent lessons. When we can view our lives as an interesting curriculum, we can achieve more objectivity and see things more clearly. Be advised this Moon is tracking energies that are hard to pin down today.  Imagination and creativity soars, but reality may be somewhat elusive. As long as we keep this in mind, we can enjoy the ride without getting overly invested in an expected outcome. Tomorrow will bring new stories, messages, information and experiences.

Daily Muse: Stay positive. When you resist change, you are trying too hard to control the outcome and not paying enough attention to the process. (James Van Praagh ? Mercury, Venus and Uranus in Leo)
