You may have noticed there were not a lot of cosmic events last week. As usual, we make up for it this week. This is a time to embrace life, spend time outdoors, be enthusiastic, socialize, and enjoy yourself. This sign is self-expressive, dramatic, and expects to live large. We believe we have things under control when mid-morning Luna makes a conflicting square to Venus in Leo. Were not sure exactly what will make us happy! Feedback from friends and partners seems inconsistent and unpredictable. Using the power of the mind we can interpret anything and everything. Even more, we can reinterpret by choice. This is a complex and difficult energy as it can tap into psychological issues, fears, and defenses. Sun enters Leo 7:26am
Venus in Virgo may be pouty early this morning as she opposes Jupiter in Pisces. Jupiter is supposed to be lucky, why do I have to get up early to chauffeur the kids to camp or meet with the new roof estimators? We wont mope around for long. Venus in Virgo understands the value of being responsible and the Sun leaves Cancer and enters fun-loving, playful, and magnanimous Leo this morning. Things are looking up!
While the Sun is in Leo we desire to connect with our inner child, and our inner light. This is a time to embrace life, spend time outdoors, be enthusiastic, socialize, and enjoy yourself. This sign is self-expressive, dramatic, and expects to live large. It is not a coincidence the Lion with its iconic mane is a symbol for Leo. Ditch that pandemic hair style and go for something more dramatic and fun. Honor Leo this month by taking responsibility for your own happiness, spreading your light, and soaking up the compliments and expressions of appreciation when they come your way.
There are a few cranky energies in the cosmos today but between the Sun in Leo and the Moon in pragmatic Capricorn, the tone should generally be upbeat and positive. Mars in Leo is looking for more appreciation than Pluto in Capricorn is allowing. A few hurt feelings or power struggles could result. The Sun in Leo is not meshing well with Jupiter in compassionate Pisces either. While we are gearing up to show people how charming and creative we are, Jupiter is suggesting a more spiritual or inclusive approach is in order. Dawn is accompanied by an inspired connection between the Moon in pragmatic Capricorn and visionary Neptune in transcendental Pisces. Imagination is flowing freely. Mid-morning when the Moon joins Pluto in determined Capricorn we have a feeling of inevitability about something. Ive heard it said that when the Moon is in close contact with the planet of transformation, emotions are deeply profound, and an important life lesson is being presented and hopefully learned. As the transformer, Pluto can teach us about how to find renewal and balance within the process of release and detachment.
This energy may be a significant precursor to the Full Moon in mentally charged Aquarius this evening. This morning we are deeply grounded in our feelings and attached to what we perceive to be our physical and material realities. In early evening, the Moon slides into progressive, humanitarian, and experimental Aquarius where it fulfills its destiny of opposing the Sun in dramatic Leo.
Full Moons are visually spectacular and likewise emotionally high-spirited. With the proximity of Pluto to the Moon (and opposing the Sun) we may learn something enlightening and valuable about ourselves and our lives that allows us to change, transform, and move to a new level of being. Possibly we see how obsessive or compulsive we are thinking and behaving around a certain relationship dynamic, experience, or event. We see the light! The Full Moon energy exposes areas we want to reform, release, and change.
One important aspect of the Full Moon in Aquarius is the focus on the bonds of friendship. These are relationships we choose. We are not born into them or forced to relate because of a family obligation or a job or work requirement or situation. The Aquarian Full Moon motivates us to develop networks and social capital which Aquarius would rather have than money or material stuff. We spend time with these people because we like them!

Still under the influence of a friendly Moon in Aquarius today is a good time to hang out with people of like mind, maybe grab a coffee with a friend this morning. Its also a good time to hang out with our imaginations as Mercury the communication planet in Cancer is making a connection to dreamy Neptune in Pisces. This is the time to jot down those ideas or work on a manuscript or blog. We can easily access the necessary patience and discipline with the Moon heading toward a solidifying connection to Saturn mid-day.
Keep things free and easy and loose this afternoon. The Moon is heading toward a challenging square with Uranus in early evening. Getting too stuck on how things should be will keep us blinded to something new in our peripheral vision. There is a new and exciting way of looking at something for those willing to look.

Using the power of the mind we can interpret anything and everything. Even more, we can reinterpret by choice. What might start out as a pleasant morning with Moon in friendly Aquarius quickly moves to intense verbal exchanges this afternoon when Mercury in Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn. This is a complex and difficult energy as it can tap into psychological issues, fears, and defenses. We might feel compulsively attached to our thoughts and opinions with the fallout being we believe we are right and everyone else is wrong. This energy is often opinionated, domineering, stubborn, arrogant, and critical.
The faster we escalate over an issue, the more we can assume it is hitting one of our hot buttons. When the temperature starts rising, have a remedy from your spiritual toolbox handy. We are in control of our perceptions. We choose the lens through which we will view the world. We can be angry, unhappy, and victimized, but only if it is our choice. The upside is this energy is very intuitive. We can direct the power of Plutonian transformation towards positive change instead of arguing someone into submission. We can also do significant work on our own shadow selves by looking at why we are so attached to certain ideas, or why specific issues or people make us want to tear our hair out.
Even if we back away from a fight earlier, there is another hurdle to jump when the Moon opposes Mars in late afternoon. This can help us realize whether we handled the earlier upset as this might be the spark that gets the flames of controversy burning once again.
The Moons entry into compassionate and forgiving Pisces this evening is the soothing balm that helps put some of these issues to rest. As the Moon connects with Jupiter in Pisces, we certainly can consider what we want more of in our lives and what we want to diminish or decrease. Why are we so attached to being right? To making others wrong? To thinking we are elevating ourselves by pushing others down? Do we really want to live in a world of winners and losers or is there a way to move towards a world of winners?
