SUN ENTERS VIRGO 8:16PM
This is the last day of the Sun in youthful Leo. (The Sun enters conscientious and dutiful Virgo tonight at 8:16 pm PDT). And yet, the Waning Quarter Moon in sensitive Cancer is not feeling extroverted and playful. As we draw closer to the end of the Lunar cycle (New Moon on Saturday) we are feeling nostalgic and perhaps sad as we think about everyday disappointments and losses. We have a choice to make. Protect ourselves as fragile and wounded or reach out to others to help them heal and thrive and thereby healing ourselves as well.
Cancer Moons have a deep understanding of how to use their innate nurturing and care-giving strengths to connect with others. Despite the possible emotional residue left over from yesterday, everything appears brighter this morning with the Moon moving into self-expressive and inspiring Leo. All fire energy (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) thrives on channeling passion.

The Leo Moon sails through the cosmos making no planetary connections until late afternoon. Although there is no problem with this, it could indicate we are having difficulty finding our inspiration or connection today. We may be entertaining conflicting purposes or not sure of our direction. In the last days of the lunar cycle (New Moon on Saturday) it?s always a safe practice to review instead of starting something new. This is a good time for journaling or otherwise recording or sharing our thoughts and feelings. We might also find a fresh perspective on something we have read, heard, or written previously.

VOID OF COURSE MOON ENTERS VIRGO AT 5:25P
On this last day of the lunar cycle our spirit aches for a new beginning. The Moon is in Leo throughout the day until evening when it slides into conscientious Virgo. Typically, during this final phase we are wrapping things up and thinking about areas of our lives that could do with an overhaul or release. We may not feel much like working unless our tasks have to do with preparing for a new adventure.
To say this isn?t a great evening for a romantic date is an understatement. Unless your purpose is to break up or suggest a radical change in the relationship. We become acutely aware of dissatisfaction this evening as Venus in Leo squares Uranus in traditional Taurus. Venus in dramatic Leo thrives on appreciation. The square to Uranus likely shuts down our avenues of self-expression which are so vital to Venus in Leo. This isn?t necessarily a deal breaker, but it could be an important turning point. Things get more complicated an hour later when the Sun squares Mars in Gemini. Both Venus and Mars are important planets when considering compatibility and attraction between people. With both making squares tonight, core issues and conflicts are being revealed. Although this could be a temporary stumbling block, don?t ignore it as important insights are available that can improve a relationship or situation.
This energy doesn?t just apply to relationships between people. NEW MOON IN VIRGO 4? 1:17AM
The New Moon in Virgo occurs early Saturday morning 1:17 am PDT.
Virgo?s story is one of dancing between solitude and connecting with others. They dance between being alone and interacting and serving others. But they will almost always return to their private spaces to recuperate, gather their thoughts, and re-energize. After joining the Sun shortly after midnight, this Moon disappears into her solitude making no planetary connections until Sunday morning. Plan accordingly. You too may need some serious downtime today with a light schedule and minimal interactions. If you have a writing, communication, art, or craft project this is a great day to make progress. If you want to plan one of the above, this is also a great time to set your intentions and make your outlines.
Although the square aspects described yesterday which occurred late last night technically reached their peak by the time of the New Moon, their energy is likely to be an influence during the new lunar cycle. As a recap, Venus in Leo squared Uranus. We may be challenged to find joy in a relationship, job, or situation. Or perhaps one of these is starting to feel limiting and constricting. We are feeling optimistic and inspired this morning with the Virgo Moon in a favorable connection to Uranus in Taurus. Thinking outside the box and entertaining new ideas is exciting and stimulating. By mid-day we are faced with duties and responsibilities suggested by Venus in Leo opposing Saturn in Aquarius. Being free and unfettered seems like nothing but a daydream. Although the square aspects described yesterday which occurred late last night technically reached their peak by the time of the New Moon, their energy is likely to be an influence during the new lunar cycle. As a recap, Venus in Leo squared Uranus. We may be challenged to find joy in a relationship, job, or situation. Or perhaps one of these is starting to feel limiting and constricting. Our wings are clipped and we?re losing interest. We need to find a way to spread our wings again. Venus is also moving into an opposition with Saturn (perfect on Sunday) and is just past a square to the North and South Nodes. We are in a transition moving between the past towards the future. Last night the Sun in Virgo squared Mars in Gemini. Different planets but with some similar messages to Venus / Uranus. Our light is feeling diminished; maybe our efforts are feeling scattered, or we are without a motivation or purpose. It?s a good thing we have a New Moon to provide some powerful insight. Let go of established ideas and opinions, or at least be open to hearing something new.
I hope you will take your cue from private Virgo and prioritize yourself today. Carve out time to be at home, or in another favorite private spot to relax, reflect, and plan. MOON IN VIRGO

We are feeling optimistic and inspired this morning with the Virgo Moon in a favorable connection to Uranus in Taurus. Thinking outside the box and entertaining new ideas is exciting and stimulating. By mid-day we are faced with duties and responsibilities suggested by Venus in Leo opposing Saturn in Aquarius. Being free and unfettered seems like nothing but a daydream. This is a tough combination and suggests relationships characterized by sacrifice, partners who are cold or critical toward each other, or the natural flow of give and take is stifled. This may also be indicative of financial restriction or lack or money worries. Venus in Leo wants to be abundant and adored, not reminded of cold harsh realities!
This opposition can be a useful wakeup call. Are you taking your partner, or a family member for granted? Is one person receiving an unfair advantage while another does all the giving? Are you focusing on what?s wrong rather than on what?s right? In some situations, this energy may point to a heavy burden taken on by a caregiver. Resources may be limited.
