The Skritch-owl egges and the feathers black,
The blood of a Frog and the bone in his back.
And I ha' bene plucking plants among
Hemlock, Henbane, Adder's Tongue,
Nightshade, Moonwort,Libbards-bane.
I went to the Toade breedes under the wal,
I charm'd him out and he came at my call.
Under the bramble, over the briar,
A little more heate will set it on fire!

~ Ben Johnson ~

A Witch is born, and not made; or if one is to be made, then tears must be spilt before the moon can be drawn. For the Lady chooses whom she wills to be Her loves, and those She loves the most, She rends apart before making them Wise.
