The weather here has been hot... 85F and up. I'm not used to it seeing as how a few weeks ago I was freezing up. But I hope the weather stays warm for the weekend, we want to go to a chili cookoff in town!

That's a very nice picture Epona, I love it. Alora, all your new pics are great too. I can't remember if I've commented on them yet, I love the Silhouettes, and I think your new Deviant ones would make nice posters.

Starlily, take good care. I'll keep you in my thoughts Smile

Well I'm a bad little girl. Just came back from Target where I was only supposed to get ONE thing (a brush). I got the brush and was almost to the register when I saw two cute shirts. I ended up buying BOTH of them! I am trying to save money and here I go making unplanned and unnecessary purchases. I slap my wrist. Bad girl. Smile It was my fault for going to Target in the first place, can't seem to go there without buying at least 3 extra unnecessary goodies. I guess I'll see how I feel about it later and return them if I feel too guilty Cool

Merry Meet and Blessed Be All:

I simply cannot believe I finally got back here. Damn! I have been fighting for weeks and grieving that I couldn't. I sit in front of my puter and try EVERYTHING to get back here and why can I now? Cause tonite I logged in thro my Dad's puter and then logged off and tried from mine. Will it stick? Will it work? I dunno.

I am cut off and cannot reach you and when I wake up tomorrow and try to log in again and it doesn't work I don't know what to do. So how do I keep up and keep in touch?

Gods, I sit here in front of my puter, on the site and don't know where to start cause tomorrow I may not be able to get back. Damn! Damn !

I miss you all! I MISS BEING HERE! I am afraid that if I log off I may not get back. Past history has told me if I take too long in posting a message I get booted out.

So, I love you all, I hope this reaches you. Seeds are posted

Blessings from the North

Merry Meet all

Sorry it's been a while since i've been on. I've had troubles loggin on.

Last week my dog, Chloe, had surgery to repair her ACL in her left knee. I've had a difficult time keeping her quiet so she doesn't blow her right knee. It's like having a tornado on a leash.

Anyways hope all is well

Hello new faces, eemia, moonkrystal. Nice to see you here Kestrelwing64. I hope you can figure out your login troubles.

Well yesterday at work was crap. And despite my BF being a total sweetheart to me last night and this morning, I'm still feeling like crap. It's definitely work. I think I'll go to the Rubber Room to bounce it off the walls there. Thank HEAVENS for coffee. Time for my, I don't know, 4th cup now. Hey, lookee there, I can highlight stuff with my cursor now! Cool, well there's a little bright spot for me today.

I wanna make some cute avatars too. I couldn't figure out where you were saying to make them Epona, but I did find a doll making site online. I made a doll for myself today that represents me from what I'm wearing today to how I'm feeling. I call it, "out of my way people and leave me alone before I scream" lol Laughing (not to any of you guys of course, I love all you)

Hey guys, boy miss a couple days of this place and well crap takes a wek of reading! lol.

Puter went tits up on me Thursday I think it was. Kids went someplace and picked up a spyware, and as soon as I tried to load up nortons to fix, it shut down the puter, and restarted the puter and shut down the puter and restarted.....I could keep going, but I think you get the jist of the story.my puters screwed!

NBot worth trying to get it worked n as it is a 7 year old dinosaur in the puter worl, so am going out starting this evening I hope to look for a new one. Had been wanting ot get one, but not that way, as I was only able to save a few of my documents, and a couple of sons pics, and it shut down in the midst of a couple of them, bu alas, sigh, oh well, no sweat.

I know be careful or more explict in wants.

Merry Meet Everyone!

Let's keep our fingers crossed - I managed to get back here HAZZZAAA!

Gosh where to begin? So much to catch up on! How is everyone? What's the sciddleypoop? I am so glad to see this forum is active as ever. Everyone needs to have a cuppa beans with friends once and while I figure.

What's new with me? Oooo where to start? Well, we finally managed to settle our labour problems at work and have a contract. It's not as great as I hoped for but then, we did get everything we asked for and the company did not get the outrageous things they asked for. Can you believe they offered 1.5% a year for three years?! We laughed at them and managed to get 3% per year for two years plus an extra sick day. Cheap beggars. My application at Boeing went nowhere but I still cruise the sites for job opportunities. On a positive note, my supervisor (the QA rep for the company) has said he wants me to start training and has every intention of making me second in command of the department as soon as he can wiggle it past the Production Manager. Seems the Production Manager has problems with assertive women but I believe I've mentioned that before. He also has a problem with females over 23 who aren't slim with big breast and small brains. The boobs I've got but hey, I am 43 this year, had three kids and while I do believe I look pretty good for my age and all time takes it toll. Not to mention, I haven't figured out how to "dumb" myself down. I have a deep voice for my size and lemme tell you - giggle doesn't work with me LOL.

Had a health issue pop up with hubbie. He started to become extremely forgetful (more so than his usual befuddled state is hee hee) and was also becoming belligerent. After a few months of that crap I put my foot down and told him he was seeing a doctor. Seems he knew something was wrong but was afraid to get it checked out. Hell, he was thinking Alzymier's (sp) and what not. I was sure it was blood sugar issue. Bear in mind, hubbie is 6'1" and weighs maybe 155 lbs. After much testing and scolding by the doctor over his lack of eating habits, the conclusion is blood sugar issues. He needs to eat (and I mean a great of food) every day. His family does have a history of sudden onset Type I diabetes so it was no joke.

Seems when he went to the doctor he weighed 140 lbs! He has his weight back up to 155 and is doing ever so much better - thank the Gods.

The kids are great as always - well the twins still think they are 12 going on 22 but I am standing firm on that crap. They managed to snag both gold medals at the provincial cheerleading competition but were told they were too young to attend the nationals. I've told them two more years and you're there.

Weather is finally sunny but still a little ont he cool side here. Still, some of my south facing beds are starting to sprout. I just wasnt some warm weather so I can work on my tans ... ooops no, nope I don't tan...I work on my vitamin D levels. Yeah, that's it. LMAO.

On the spiritual side I had an epiphany it you will allow on the Spring Solstice. I was drifting in and out sleep on the night of the Solstice and I became aware of "someone" listening to me. I rolled over and said very clearly, "Whatever it is you have in mind for me, I am ready. I will leave myself open the possibilities." I said it three times and WOW! It seems I stumble across new things, new sights, new everything every day. I feel ... lighter somehow. Oh some days, it feels like there is load but it is as if the load shared somehow. Whatever the case may be, I do believe I am in a for glorious year with interesting opportunities.

Well that's my chat for now. As I said before, if I disappear for a while, it's not be just that stupid "Forbidden Access" message. And will find a way around it - even if I have to go to Dad's!

Lady E, said it before and will say it again - thank you for this site - you do wonderful work. And thank you to all think of me - I love y'all.

Blessing from the Sunny but Chilly NOrth,

Kestrelwing

Morning all,

Hope everyone is doing alright on this Monday. Have felt a little more stuck in Pisces myself Alora. I feel a little more perked up this morning though. Downloaded some new CDs and have been boppin' to those all morning.

I had a busy weekend. We had constant company Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Our friends been out of town and when they came back wanted to spend all weekend with us. I love my friends, but I'm one of those introverted people who needs an energy recharge after spending 1 day with people, let alone 3 days. I didn't get any recharge time this weekend, but maybe I can find some this week. My mind has been racing like crazy lately and having to entertain is not on my want list right now. Laughing Maybe I should take a day off one of these days.

I'm off to wander the halls. Have a nice Monday everyone!

MM sisters,

I wanted to pop in and say hello. CM reading your post makes me wish for more time to plant things. I long for it. To get my hands in the dirt, and to watch things grow, and enjoy the fruits (and vegetables) of my labor.

But, with my schedule (and my lovely DOG... who would destroy anything I planted in the yard anyway).. well it's just impossible. My favorite saying anymore is.. "One of these days...."
Hope you feel better soon.

larc.. you sound like me. I need my "re-charge" time. Without it I become a "not so nice" person.

I hope you all don't mind me joining the conversation. I've kept up with reading your posts, but haven't joined in until now.

I wish to all of you a happy day,

Blessings,

LJ

I was gonna say good morning, but it's already noon for me.

Cleansing and banishing, yes that is what I want to do. I just want to take everything out of my apartment, hose it all down, scrub from the top down, put it all back. Oy. (Sorry, left over frustration from my messy BF spilling coffee and sugar on everything... everyday... always). Cool

Freedom, I'll light a candle for you. I got quite a visual on talking to an asshole Shocked Whew, shaking it off Laughing

Grandbabies, nice Alora. Can't wait to see if your vision is true.

I hope you're doing better CoyoteMoon and Bear. I'll have to try the oil of Evening Primrose as I get the hangover from time to time (blush) I have a fierce enemy and it's name is Jagermeister Wink
Also happy to hear your BIL is doing better Bear, that's great.

Well not much going on for me. BF promised me we're going to join the community center in our neighborhood tonight. I've been looking forward to that, they have a lot of great stuff to do there, indoor heated pool, tennis court, even pool tables! We just had to save up money to join first.

x Just edited out the pic. I think it was messing up the page Shocked x

Smile Thank you all for your warm welcome. I am just sitting here at work on my lunch break catching up on everything here at Odss.

Well, I'm not sure it's possible to catch up with all the work Epona has given us students.. lol

Actually I should be working on my homework!

I'm really enjoying the classes though. It's been a great experience so far.

It's such a pleasure to get a glimpse of everyone's day to day lives. It's great to share those things.

I think about you guys even when I'm not "here". We wouldn't know each other on the street, but I feel as if I'm getting to know you all anyway.

The only things going on in my life worth writing about are that my oldest daughter Ashley auditioned Saturday for acceptance at NCSA (North Carolina School of the Arts). They have a program in drama for the Senior year of high school. She wants to be a famous actress someday. Who doesn't right..?? lol

We won't know until three or four weeks from now if she gets a call back. She went to a 5 week summer session last year and loved it. Some of the judges knew her by name and came and gave her a hug before the auditions started. Plus one of her teachers from summer session wrote a letter to the judges and recommended her. Only 20 students out of approx 650 applicants will be chosen. And only about 11 from in state. The rest will be out of state students. So, it's a long shot. But, worth a try.

The good news for me is, that if she's accepted it's with a full scholarship. Even her meal plan and books will be covered. She'll have to live on campus which will be an adjustment for all of us. But, I'm still hoping that she gets in. It's her dream, and I'd love to see her get to give it a shot.

My youngest daughter Chelsi is a dancer and also wants to go there. The summer session is $2525.00 for the 5 week program!!!!!!!
I just don't have that kind of money to send her. Ashley had a sponser to pay her way last year, and that's the only way she got to go.

But, if it's meant to be these things do have a way of working out.

My love triangle situation has been quiet lately at least. I've learned my lesson and am trying to stay as far from it as possible.

No more giving the milk away for free for me!!!! If somebody wants the milk they are gonna have to buy the cow!!!!

I'm an idiot... LOL

Blessings to you all. I hope everyone's day goes great. I'll be lighting candles for you all this evening when I get home.

LJ

LOL Alora. I am leading my daughters (and son) by example of what NOT to do! I always say.. SEE, I told you! You don't want to end up like me now do ya?? To which they emphatically shake there heads NO!!

Sounds like you've had a wholesome day even though you are worn out now. I always love it when I feel I have accomplished something. And a clean house always lifts my mood. Especially when theres something good in the crock pot.

Enjoy your nap. Take one for me will ya??

Blessings everyone,

LJ

Freedom that's wonderful!!! I'm so glad that all went well. I always get so nervous if I have to speak in front of a crowd. Especially if they are figures of authority. So, I'm proud of you!

I did light a candle for you! I thought of all of my sisters here.

I hope the city council makes the decision you want them to.

Blessings,

LJ
