I think my last post was cause for the messed up page CM, sorry about that. It was just a link to a silly pic I found but it threw the whole page outta whack. I went back and took the pic out.

Good to hear you felt good about the meeting Freedom. I did light a candle for your success last night. Hope all goes well.

LOL Alora... my mom would leave her teeth in and bite us (she still does)! That always kept us hiding Laughing

I'm only in my twenties but I started with the grey hairs in high school. Now, as my co-worker and others have *kindly* pointed out, I have a lot of grey hair for my age. Mine are white too and I usually dye it back to my brown. But I do have a streak of white hair that sort of grows down the back, more like Lilian Munster I guess Laughing I often joke that I'm gonna let it grow out and look like Rogue from Xmen... that'd be cool (hope this image doesn't break the page again!)

Good AFternoon all:

Well I am posting from Dad's puter as mine has refused to allow me back since the last posting. I loathe technology!

I am gonna try something different and see if it works when I get home.

Took the crew including hubbie and myself to the dentist today and had well over due cleanings done. The twins in particular needed attending as they are in braces. Raven, the younger one, is scheduled to have three teeth pulled in the coming weeks. Seems those teeth won't straighten for love or money.

Weather is still damn cool up here but at least it is sunny. The geese are making their return I swear I heard a robin last weekend. Okay maybe a dumb, dead robin by now but for a brief moment it felt like spring.

Can't chat long as Dad is wanting some company. I hope my experiment works and I can hook up with you guys later.

Blessing from the North,

Kestrelwing

Good Morning! I hope everyone is doing good today.

Not much going on here, just sitting at work on break.

Freedom, you are so right, those workshops are usually scams!!! At least you and your hubby didn't get sucked in on it.

Too bad though, I think we all wish there was a good way to make lots of money!!

I know as a single mother of three I am always looking for a way to make money. I stay scared to death all the time about money. At this point I'd just feel better if I could make ends meet!

Talk to all of you soon. I've got to get back to work.

Blessings,

LJ

MM Alora,

I have to admit I don't really understand the differences in the calendars! But I guess that's why I'm a student and still learning.

But the thought of learning how to use some new information is exciting.

So, I know I'd use it if you posted it. I'd at least try, and learn something in the process I hope. I'm always a stickler for accuracy, so if the other way is not accurate I don't know why anyone would want to do it that way. Of course, everything is subject to opinion I guess.

I don't think it's very fair to you that you would have to pay for it while the rest of us get to use it for free when you post it though.

Hope all is going well for everyone,

Blessings,

LJ

Morning one and all! It is still morning here for a bit anway, LOL.
I'm new to this page and have only recently been able to return to OdSS at all, way to many things going on in my heart and life right now to keep up.

Having just read some of the pages and sort of getting caught up here has been good fun and it's so good to see friends needs being met. The well wishes and postive thoughts when needed. oh yes and the hangover remedies, very helpful, LOL.

Ok i confess I don't drink coffee or any other caffeine; just can't sleep at night if I do, although I LOVE the smell of a good cup 'o in the morning. So hopefully this does not automatically keep me from gathering here with you all.

As to the grey/white hairs creeping in I must admit I have been waiting for so long for mine to finanlly show up there is no way I'll cover them up; after chasing my three boys around when they were young I figured I should have been grey at about 30 instead of turning now that I'm in the 50's and yes they are coming in Bof F style at the edges so far, and wild! oh my goddess they are wiry and go where ever they want, regardless of what I want them to do. Fortunatly for me I work in a small construction offiice and no one cares what I do with my hair. My new BF seems to think they are pretty cool and admires them often.

As to bugging the kidletts, more power to us for having the fun in our hearts to do that. I think back on my folks and fun was the last thing they wanted to have or do, to bad missed out on some of the laughter that way, we did. So harrass on people! Twisted Evil

and Alora, please let us know about the "babies coming", do you suppose that means more than one? My boys don't have any children, yet! but I did dream of my first son, two weeks before he was born and knew exactly what he would look like at two. and he did! So I'm a ture believer.

Have a great day group! Very Happy stay positive in your thoughts!

MM everyone,

Happy Friday the 13!!

Freedom I hope you are right about the "this too shall pass" thing. sigh.

I've been on my own for 6 years and it feels like it will NEVER pass. I know I had a lot of things to learn. And, I had to get ready for a new relationship, and let go of a bunch of hang ups, and heal. I'm still trying to do that.

I think that's a vital step after a break up that a lot of people skip. My ex husband for one who is now working on marriage number 4!!
To each his own though I guess.

I'm a pretty level headed person on most things. But there is one person who I'm a complete idiot over.

I love him even though he's bad for me. If you've followed my threads you know what I'm talking about.

Everyone says FOLLOW YOUR HEART. But, what do you do when your heart wont listen to LOGIC!!!

My head is RIGHT, and my heart is WRONG unfortunately. First of all let me explain that I know he's married. I will not NOT EVER make my previous mistake again.

I just keep feeling like holding on in my heart. Every time I try to let go I think I'm making a mistake. But, when I think about the facts the real FACTS my head says I should let go.

I feel stupid for even having this problem. Normally I wouldn't EVER be stuck in this situation. It's just this ONE guy that I lose my ability to make good decisions about.

Thanks everyone,

Blessings,

LJ

Lady Jade, I do know how you feel and I remember you discussing the situation in the Rubber Room. I had a similar situation and me being hung-up on one guy ruined my other existing and potential relationships. But he also like to play I love you-I love you not games, so I forced myself to move on. I found somebody else and am totally in love with him. He's my grumpy sunshine Laughing Like it's been said, hang in there.

Well I just wanted to share some pics I took yesterday. Me and my aforementioned grumpy sunshine took a walk down to the river to enjoy the beautiful spring afternoon (don't mean to rub it in for all you still in the cold. It's been nice and spring-timey here).

First I wanna share this pic of where I live. I literally live on the wrong side of the tracks Laughing

Ooo, I'll be back to post the others. Gotta reboot my computer.

larc, I visited your website with all your pictures. They are all so beautiful!

As for my situation, I am not actively turning away other relationships.

It's just hard to find someone willing to step in and help raise three kids that aren't his.

Sure, there's always other's that try to get involved with me. But, they've all been way way older than me. One guy in his 70's!! Which is fine for some people if they are in love. I'm not judging anyone if they do that. But, these guys were just not my type. I had no attraction to them.

I'm 34 years old, and at this age everybody is either too young, or too old, or married!!!!

It's okay though. As much as I seem to be whining about it lately, I like having my life to myself. It's just hard in a lot of ways.

It's only my David who really has been the love of my life that keeps getting me hung up and in trouble!! I don't know if it will ever work out for us, but even if it doesn't I know I'll survive.

I've learned my lesson in that I will not ever let him be with me again as long as he's married. If he wants me he will have to commit to me once and for all. His relationship with his wife is rocky at best. But, as long as they are still together I will never even consider being involved with him.

That only hurts EVERYONE. It's stupid and selfish. But, one never knows what might happen in the future. I just wish I did.

Okay.. I'll stop talking about this if everyone is rolling their eyes and wishing I would.

I figure especially Alora would have no trouble telling me to "shut the hell up about it already"! LOL

Blessings,

LJ

P.S. By the way, I really am not hoping they will divorce!! I have mixed feelings about things. But, I'm not trying to break them up. He came to ME before.. and I let him. That really is how it happened.
Deep down, I only want the best for everyone. I know it sounds crazy. I guess it's that I wish things were different, but I would never try to hurt anyone to get what I want. Does that make sense???

Ok, I'm back. LJ, you sound like a strong lady, even if you don't think so. I say go for the young guys Wink kidding (unless you want to), in which case... shake your groove thing shake your groove thing yeah yeah
(boogie)
hee hee, sorry, couldn't resist

Thanks for liking my pics by the way. Here are some more I took yesterday of the river. As you can see from my above pic, I'm happy to have the beautiful river so close by to get away from the ugliness of these dilapidated trains.

Appomattox River pic 1

Appomattox River pic 2

Appomattox River pic 3

Appomattox River pic 4

They're big, so I linked to them instead of putting them right in the post. It's the Appomatox River, this spot is about a quarter mile from my place. It is so serene there, I forget I live across the street from train tracks.

WOW larc, those are beautiful pictures. I bet it really is nice to live so close to a river. I used to live close to a train track and when trains would go by it would rattle my windows, and pictures on the wall day and night. It was aggravating but after a while I guess you just get used to it, and deal with it.

Thanks for the laugh.. I may adopt the "as long as your over 18" rule.. lol

MM everyone,

Thank you guys, your right!.. Damn I'm so sorry. I feel like an ass. Sometimes I just let myself get too wrapped up in it. And, I just want to talk about it. I won't bring it up again in here.

I know that it was cheating. I feel terrible about that. When we had our daughter he wasn't married, just so you guys know that. But, that was a long time ago, and there is a lot of water under the bridge now. What happened a few months ago shouldn't have and it wont again. I mean it when I say I learned my lesson about it.

I loved him from the day I met him but that was 16 years ago, and that's over. He is trouble, and has caused nothing but that in my life. I already realize that, and eventually my heart will let that part of me go. I know I deserve better.

Alora, sorry to hear that you are having such a stressful time right now. Dealing with kids issues can be really hard. And, I know it's a big disapointment not to get to do up your own room like you wanted to. Plus the credit thing I've been through similar things.. that's really awful.

Hope the marksman tournament goes well, and that things calm down for your family soon.

I appreciate everything all of you said. I hope everyone has a really great weekend.

Blessings to you all,

LJ

Good to see you Starlily!!Happy Monday everyone! Just wanted to drop in and say hi.

Nothing new here. I just got to work and thought I'd see how everybody is doing.

It's very windy here. It felt like my house was going to blow away.

Hope everyone has a blessed day.
