skirted the edges of this one. Got about a 1/2 inch of sleet here, with about a 1/4 inch of snow on top of it this morning. Had some freezing rain mixed in the mess yesterday. It was raining, sleeting and snowing all at the same time. Guess someone could decide! sheesh!

Kept our power luckily. Just southeast of us is where the nastiest hit. (I'm in Kansas City, just on the Kansas side.)

thought I'd have the day off, but the gal who was going to cover the special open day, or older woman I shoudl sya, slid into a ditch, and had to walk half mile home to call me. Boss was gonna close but changed her mind. Figured people would be tired of being cooped up for two days, an come out. lol Did $35.00 in admissions! Total take of $60.70, for the day, didn't even pay to be open.

Prayers out to all effected by the storm.

Going down to 0-2 degrees tonght. Will most likely keep daughter home from school tomorrow, too cold to walk 3 blocks to stand at the bus stop.

My thoughts are with you all, this storm seems to have reached havoc on a lot of people..

This bizarre weather is all over the country I guess.. We are usually under a thick blanket of snow now and we have not gotten more than 5 flakes. And I was at the beach last week end ,and those of you in the desert are getting scary lows in temps.. . (clue)

We're lucky here in England that we don't as a rule get extremes of weather. The last couple of days though we have been getting some pretty severe winds that have caused chaos on the roads and sadly one man has died after a tree fell on his car. It always amazes me in a sad way how we (us Brits), don't seem prepared for weather like this. We have a possible snow forecast for next week (Scotland has it already). Hmmm. Wonder how we'll get on. My thoughts and prayers are with those who have suffered.

Gosh...you surely have some extreme weather conditions in USA... here, well on Thursday we had gale winds up to 100m force, which did a lot of damage, and killed 13 people, the youngest victim being a little boy of 2, who was out with his au-pair when a wall collapsed on him, that was so tragic. Otherwise all settled now, and we are now supposed to have a spell of extreme cold...

all this climate change that is happening around us...global warming, all caused by us!

Hope your niece is feeling better EponaAnu Smile

(Happyfeet) Guess I'm pretty lucky. I live in Florida, It's been cold the last few nights though. In the 40's. The days are nice supposed to get up to 81 today. Sorry to all who are experiencing bad weather. I hope it lets up for you. I'll pray for an early Spring. Tomorrow is Ground Hog Day. We'll see if the little guy sees his shadow or not. Very Happy

I have a friend who lives in Florida, too, and he always sends me messages when the temperature drops below 60 degrees to make fun of me LOL I actually made him paper snowflakes the other day and sent them to him so he'll have snow. But I would like some sun in return....

Winter Weather Advisory here in New Jersey for tomorrow (Friday) all day. It'll probably just be a couple of inches, but please pray that it doesn't turn nasty anyway! You never know with the weather!
