A circle-sister has asked me about Witch Bottles. Specifically, can a bottle filter any negativity that she sends out? Apparently she's concerned about a spell she's emitted, and wonders whether the bottle will protect her from the rule of three. I don't know the answer and I'm putting it to you.

Anytime you send out bad energy....be it even a thought, it will manifest to some degree in your life. It is the Law of Attraction and it is something that alot of folks are just now finding out about...albiet not the way they desire.

You see, thoughts are things...if you wish ill will, those feelings will manifest in YOUR life...in a "color" that resonates with what you need to learn from the event. This could be concieved as a challenge or an opportunity for learning...tis up to you. Just beware that we of the Craft and other Earh-based Religions would much rather walk in balance than tip the scales.....yes theri is justice, but we need not be vengeful when we walk this path.

No one is perfect, and we all fuck up now and then...just tell your friend to "pull up her boot straps" and be responsible for her actions.

As far as a Witch Ball is concerned, sure you could use one, but as the negativity builds and builds, well, let's say I wouldn't want to be around when the "dam breaks." You could learn the lesson now....or have it fester, and pop when you least expect it.

Karma is something beyond magick's ability to defend again . It's all around us and it's constantly going and happening . By just sheer magick , it's not enough to erase it's effects unless by skillful means and understanding the true nature .

Magick altough is unlimited, but it has certain limits. You can use some magick to escape her and there a bit of karmic consequences but you cannot escape the entire karmic consequences .

If she or anyone send out anything harmful , it's best to take it back quickly and know your mistakes before Karma becomes a full blown one which develops , germinates and grow till ripening .

Different acts have different consequences and it is judged by many factors , not by the three fold or a hundred fold . Who are we to give the karma , the number of folds it would return . It is mysterious yet all can feel it's effects . It comes and goes in many ways and no one exactly know how many folds it comes .

So it's best to remove any negative energy one have send out and carry on the daily life .

OK. Let me start again. First, about me: I'm a crone, having served the Goddess for over 45 years now, and I'm well aware of the "rules". A friend asked me a question, which I could not answer and thought to ask you folk. I had hoped to find some helpful information to convey to my friend, and I found very little that was helpful.

Second, some of the confusion here is due to the fact that I misinterpreted my friend's dilemma. She is concerned that the witch's bottle would interfere with any work she does, and that work is not negative. She has been enduring some difficulty of late, and wanted to be certain that the bottle hadn't caused it, through interference.

So, now that I've cleared that up, can we have a friendly discussion about the matter?

Yes, this is (now) my second post, only because I've only just gotten around to joining this group after it moved from MSN.

Well, sisters, it seems my friend gave me sketchy and incomplete information upon which I turned to you for assistance. Now that the dialogue has begun, she has started to fill in the blanks. Would that she had done so much earlier. (sigh)

It seems she does not have a Witch Bottle, yet. She also has not sent out any negativity as yet, and as far as I can tell, doesn't plan to. Her problem seems to be that she's about to create her own Witch Bottle for protection, but wonders whether it will weaken any of her own spells while it protects her from other's hexes. I've assured her that the Bottle is only for her own protection and will not interfere with her workings.

I'm so very sorry for the misunderstandings on all sides, and hope this doesn't place me in a poor light with all of you. I've cautioned my friend to give complete details of her plight from now on when she seeks advice. Thank you all for being so understanding.
