I have promised to post an article about remedies and what to look out for in the Year of the Fire Pig in one of the articles Lady Elaine about the Chinese Year of Fire Pig which I gave some comments on.

Tai Sui (Grand Duke of Jupiter): In fact , Tai Sui is just the planet Jupiter but there is the God called Tai Sui to represent Jupiter. In fact , there is 60 Tai Sui Gods . Why is there so many of them ? In Chinese mythology , there is the 12 zodiac and 5 elements( fire , earth , metal , water ,wood) . Each of the 12 chinese zodiac can be subclass according to the 5 elements and so , there is altogether 60 of them .Each Tai Sui is assigned to each of the 60 and so the 60 makes a full Tai Sui cycle which is 60 years per cycle completed .

Each year , one of the 60 Tai Sui would take up duty. This year is the Ding Hai year and the Tai Sui in charge of the Ding Hai - Fire Pig year is General Feng Qi . Yes , he's a heavenly General.

According to Chinese astrology , Snake and Pig are foes . It is according to the astrological cycle and if you ask me why is it Pig and Snake , I can't answer you further because I have no idea why . Since this is the Fire Pig year , those born in the Year of Snake are at the disadvantage and also , those born in the Year of Snake are offending the Tai Sui , General Feng Qi of this Fire Pig year . I don't mean those people of the Snake zodiac are literally offending the Tai Sui but their zodiacs are in clash and it offends the Tai Sui of this year in astrological sense .

So those born in the Year of Snake having offended Tai Sui , they would definitely have to suffer the wraith of this unhappy god. There are many countermeasures . Most prefer to pray to the Tai Sui and "bribe" him with incense and paper money in hope of pacifying him but I think there are more effective method . The wraith of Tai Sui is actually Sha Qi (Bad Qi) .

Tai Sui is coming in at the North West direction . So try to avoid facing North West . You can purchase a pair of Pi Yao , Chinese one horned unicorn (make sure only one horn) and place it in the NorthWest sector of the house and facing North West. This way , the pair of Pi Yao could be used to protect against the entry of the Sha Qi from the Tai Sui and keep him at bay . you can buy a mini Pi Yao and carry it as a charm . There are many other charms but the Pi Yao charm is one of the most famous method .

Mantras like Om Mani Padme Hum and Om Cale Cule Cundi Soha or the Shurangama Mantracan be hung up or folded and kept with you or in that North West direction to ward Tai Sui off. I personally felt that the Shurangama Mantra is the best to use against the Tai Sui since it also protects against Gods and Stars who wishes harm , which fits Tai Sui's description as a harmful Star and god .

Always have your back facing the North West as well since you don't want to face the Tai Sui direction .
