Hello my name is Tina but everyone calls me Tink or Tinkerbell. I am a 33 yr old mom of four kids ages are 13,8,6,and the meanest 2 yrs of age Surprised) I have my own at home business making soaps, candles and bath products. One day in the future I wpuld love to have my own little shop.
I have been practicing Pagan for about 3 yrs now. And it feels so right. Me and my husband are very libberal in our beliefs and get alot of negative feedback for it. But I do not care one way or another. I live Sophia, NC. And it is nice here. Want to move away from all of the nosie people around here though. My three older kids are great but here came the 4th. He is 2 now. And a very mean child. His doctor told me to take him to menntel health because how dangerous he is to himself and the kids. But I will not do it. At times I want to just run away from here for a week. Do not get me wrong I love my family but being the main care giver and no time for myself drives me nuts. I have no time for myself. Hubby works and comes home and watches sports all evening until he goes to bed. I do the yelling and the disapline in this house. I feel like my head is going to just going to explode right off my shoulders. I hate to complaine I really do. But hey why shouldent I . After all I do everything in this house.

Well enough complaing from me. I do have a question for anyone who reads this. I want to know if I can make my own wand? And if so do you have any ideas for me to get started on this task.. PLease help..... Well I will let you all go for now and thanks again for listening to me ramble on. Tink

Hi Tink and Merry Meet,

It does sound like you have your hands full to say the least. I stayed home with my three children for 8 years when they were very young. Sometimes it feels overwhelming, and people think that you "don't work" because you stay home with the kids.

I can feel your frustration and I sympathize. I also live in NC but I have never heard of Sophie NC. I live around the Hickory area.

I wish you all the best. I know it's hard right now. Especially since it seems your husband leaves everything up to you which isn't fair to you.

But, that's how I was too, and now I am raising mine all by myself, and I really don't know which is harder!! I think it's harder to be on my own because I REALLY have to do everything now. Which is all the same except financially. Whew.. now that is scary.

Many blessings to you.

Hello & welcome to OdSS, Tina/dolphinia04! Very Happy

Glad to have you with us and I do know about the frustration of being a "Domestic Goddess" and taking care of everything.

Yes, of course you can make your own wand! I have one made of willow and another one, which is hickory, that a very kind gentleman at this site sent to me. There is a lot of information on making wands, so browse around and see what type of wand "speaks" to you, as I feel this is one of those personal tools that each of us knows which type we need. There are as many ways to make wands as there are wands. I do also have a crystal "creativity" wand that was a gift from one of my daughters. It "works" as well as the other ones! Wink

Enjoy all OdSS has to offer! Cool

Blessings )O(

I thank you for all of your help and insight.

Greetings & welcome to OdSS, Dolphinia! We have some very talented people wandering the halls of the castle... perhaps you might want to post re: the wand under Magickal Tools & Supplies... we've got some who post pix of their work & Epona is always looking for things for her lessons here. As for your child, perhaps something under parenting will yield good results. My first thought was perhaps a reading or having the child's chart done, just to see what you've got; the latter could give you a direction that might prove beneficial. Difficult children are a chore but, if dealt with in the right manner ("right" meaning appropriate for the individual), faults can turn into personality plusses.

Blessings & hope you enjoy your wanderings....

Thank you so much and thanks for the insight..

Hi Tink and Welcome! You are definitely in right place for questions! There are some very wise people here! Very Happy I too understand raising a challenging child. My youngest is the most stubborn child I have ever met and all the "normal" things do not work on him. So...I have had to find a way to get through. So, he challenges me as a parent everyday!! If he gets into trouble at school, he has do chores all day on saturdays! No cartoons, no friends, no bike riding etc. I have found that making him work has its own rewards! For one thing, my house gets cleaned! and for another he thinks twice about acting up in school! Laughing
I have fought with the school system for about two years now because they say he is ADHD and I say no he's not, he's lazy and stubborn. He can sit and watch movies, he can sit and do his homework and so on with no probs. Why do you have such a problem with him. Well, come to find out, the teachers are just as lazy and whenever they have a challenging child, the first thing they want to do is medicate to make their jobs easier. I told them "HELL NO!!!!" I refuse to medicate him for that reason. So get off your lazy asses and do your job and I'm sorry if you can't rise to the challenge. Then it seems to me like it is your problem, not my son.!! Needless, to say, the requests for medicating him have stopped and they started rising to the challenge.
Anyway Tink, hang in there. And know that you have friends here that will let you run away for a little while!!!!

Blessings!!!
