This is interesting - I identify with some of the numbers very strongly on the list but not all. I've also had very strong intuition from the time I was young, but I don't know I'd classify myself as Indigo. My intuition has always been related around dangerous people. I would feel an immediate sensation in my gut about someone and would just "know" to stay away etc. I also am pretty good at knowing if someone is a pedophile or an abuser(mostly men). But I find that it's not something I can control - it just happens when it happens and I always listen to it.

I don't know if anyone follows astrology much, but I do for a hobby and my chart indicates that I have that psychic/intuition clearly in my chart. My moon and neptune are conjuct at the same degree in my first house and they are both conjunct my ascendent. I also have 4 planets in the 8th house. And I clearly don't get along with authority having Pluto in the 10th house..lol When I was around 20 I also had pluto transiting directly over my moon and ascendant indicating total transformation(which was hell!) I also have my north node in my 12th house.

Does anyone else want to share any of there aspects here? I'd love to take a look! I think if one has neptune in the 8th that can also indicate psychic ability.

while few people are indigo, there are many violets. It seems to be sort of a phenomena that people being born are more inclined to violet, blue or indigo auras. It's a new stage in the human psyche, I suppose. If you do not profoundly identify with all or the vast majority of the listed traits, you are probably violet rather than indigo. You will know which you are by studying. It's really helped me out knowing some of the reasons I - and my loved ones - act the way we do.

I went to the link and am a little more confused. My daughter has been different all her life and it has caused several problems within our family and social settings. But she does not act like she is better than others without reason, or that she deserves things without working for them. She does have to have things fair, I mean in all things (the world included, which she gets very pissed about most of the time). She is a naturalist in my book, always looking at our heritage and believing things where better then or should be more like that now in a way. Plus she has a very strong spiritual link. See we are Native American Indian mixed with Irish. she loves learning about the old ways. So I am not sure if she is Indigo or not, but I would love to know more and how to incourage her more along her lifes journey.

Blessings

Well, this could explain a lot!  I fit almost everyone of those characteristics.  Probably explains my circle of friends, too.  Laughing

" If I wasn't 35, I'd say that I was likely indigo!"
Late to this particular thread, sorry.  I just wanted to say something in response to this statement.  If you feel you are an indigo you might be.  Indigo children did not just start arriving 20 something years ago.  There have always been a handful of all aura colors on this planet.  It was only in the past 3 decades that they began arriving in numbers enough to draw attention to the phenomena and start raising the planets vibrational level.

"My daughter has been different all her life and it has caused several problems within our family and social settings. But she does not act like she is better than others without reason, or that she deserves things without working for them."

Acting like Royalty is often a trait ascribed to indigo children but it is not so much a product of aura color as a product of parenting.

Indigo children do tend to have strong personalities and start out with a strong feeling of self worth.  But how these traits manifest themselves depends on your parenting.  Unfortunately many parents today lean toward permissive parenting, not giving enough guidance and discipline.  Many people will latch on to an indigo label (whether the child truly is an indigo or not) as an excuse to justify their permissiveness.

They think Oh my child is spiritually advanced so will know right from wrong on her own.  Or My child is indigo so she has to do everything her own way and I should not stifle her in any way.

This is fundamentally wrong!  Yes indigos tend to have a strong sense of right and wrong.  Yes they do tend to be spiritually advanced.  And yes they do need to do things their own way.  But they are still children.  All children make mistakes.  All children have a hard time controlling there feeling and actions.  All children occasionally act out.  And ALL children need guidance and discipline to grow in to caring, healthy, well balanced people.  Especially those with strong personalities.

When I say discipline I don't mean firm directions or punishment for infractions.  I mean guidance and direction and some basic guide lines for how to treat others with respect and dignity.  With out basic guidelines children of all colors will become too big for their bitches.  And that leads to spoiled, whiny brats who think everything should be their way and who are woefully unprepared for a world that does not care if they are indigo, green, rich or poor or use to mom doing everything for them.

Luckily it sounds as though you are raising your little one right and teaching her to be responsible, considerate, and balanced.  Keep it up.

Thanks for the information.

My daughter is 17 yrs old and she seems to be well rounded. I have tried my best to teach her respect and caring. What really ticts me off is when teachers say things like she is selfish because she doesn't understand. She has been tested and has what they call learning disablities in written laugage, she processes information backwards is what they said. She is graduating with more credits than needed and at high school levels. So I am not sure how much there test are true. She is very insightful and overly emotional about some things. I try to understand her, but continue to explain to her that not all people see things the same way and she needs to take there understanding in consideration. She does good most of the time. LOL I am glad to know that she is not alone in the world in being noticiable different. She is very proud of who she is and thrives on being out of the box.

Thanks again for the insight and for listening to a proud mom brag about her child.... LOL

Blessings

Age doesn't matter when we're talking about Indigo "children". Someone who's 150 could be an Indigo. "Indigo" is a reference to the color of one's aura. Indigos and Violets are popping up more and more often, but they've always been around.

Indigos have different talents; some are telepathic, some are simply very understanding, I am very empathic. Sometimes it's great and sometimes it flat stinks.

Most Indigos have a strong self worth, but, as Indigo Faerie said, many do not have a superiority complex. Some Indigos are raised in such conditions that they feel they will never be able to amount to anything because, while they have great strengths and abilities, the world will never be able to understand them. If you saw the movie Phenomenon with John Travolta, it's similar to what his character went through. While he had vast stores of knowledge, people were more interested in the parlor-trick-like things he was able to do, and why he was able to do them or why he was able to learn so quickly, than learning all they could from him to better the world.

As another poster wrote, there are many Violets as well as Indigos. They share many similar characteristics and often families will share similar auras. For example, my mother is Violet, my brothers and I are all Indigo. It would serve anyone to find out whether they are Violet, Indigo or neither. Be open to whatever you may discover and don't simply ascribe things to yourself because they're interesting, but find out. It's important to understand yourself. While no one may know exactly what it means to be Indigo or Violet (does this denote some sort of spiritual progression? is it just a phenomenon? is it something 'in the water'?) it still helps to know where you are coming from.
