Finding, this morning, that my little hen has laid her first egg! I suppose that means I'm going to be a grandma. LOL

sitting on overhang at college in the cooling rain, smoking lucky strikes and drinking a mocha with my friend, a kindred soul. listening to metal and watching the people scurry for cover.

I haven't been feeling so well emotionally or physically this past week, but reading this brought a smile to my face.

Also, my 22 year old magical kitty, just the sight of him makes my heart smile.

OH! and this dorky lil squirrel this morning, he was running around the yard gathering seeds, and he like tripped himself and flipped over. i laughed so hard.

Today a white stork came an landed at our front window sil and was trying hopelessly to get at our gold fish. It Was so amazing to see this big ol bird looking confused and hungry tapping away with no hope of getting an easy meal!! My 3 kids, 1 of their friends, hubby and I just stood there amazed!! Bloody cheap digidal camra won't take a picture of it!!! But we still smiled!!


Yes it's 7.50 pm and I'm having Coffee!!LOL

The horrendous thunderstorm that woke me up at 5am. AWESOME!! It dumped 2 inches of rain in 1 hour!

I LOVE stuff like that! The thunder was absolutely amazing, and the lightning show kept the room lit!

There are a lot of skunks around where I work. Sometimes I throw them scraps from my lunch. The most sociable of these is a small, rather scraggly one who limps. I have named him Rizzo, after the character Dustin Hoffman played in Midnight Cowboy. Rizzo came right up to the truck this morning waiting for scraps.

I have to say one thing that brought a very very big smile to my face: one of my students saw me in the schoolyard, he ran towards me and gave me the biggest hug ever!!! and then he said: "I had the most boring day ever... until now!!!"
