I have been gone for a long time due to illness (both to myself & my computer) and I have missed being here.  I am soooo glad you are all still here!
I was wondering about casting spells in the daytime.  Can anyone tell me what kind of spellwork is acceptable during these hours?

IMO, I think any type of spell to bring happiness, luck, prosperity etc would be fine during daylight hours and the sunlight would also enhance whatever work you're trying to do.  I don't see why it would do the opposite personally.

Welcome back Daisysmom. Think in terms of coorespondences for the Moon and Sun. When performing at night, you are dealing with teh internal, the things that we can't bear to face in the light of of the sun. Night spells can involve delicate goals, like internal peace. When performing in daylight, you are dealing with external goals. Bramble is right about prosperity and money spells. I also like to do friendship spells at that time.

I think it was Dorothy Morrison that put out a book of spells based on the sun.  I can't remember the name of it offhand (and I have it in my library, stuffed in the back of a pickup until I move...lol). I have used daytime for success spells and anything that brings in happiness and warmth (i.e. family and home stuff).

I've had a fair amount of success with daytime spellwork (its the only time I know I won't be disturbed  ). Like seamonster, they've almost always been intended to bring about peace or harmony as the end result. Best of luck to you.

I wouldn't do anything during the night when the whole family is around....   No one here shares my belief system, so it's always done early in the morning after they have all gone to work, school.  I can see me now casting a circle, and my family is around, "Mom, where's the peanut butter!!  Mom, I'm going over to a friends house!  I'm going to the store, do you need anything?"  or "MOM WHAT ARE YOU DOING???"
