To speak ill of others is a dishonest way of praising ourselves~ Will Durant

I'm actually going to step away from my norm and post a poem and a quote

"We contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle."-Winston Churchill

"I met a traveler from an antique land
Who said: "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert... Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal these words appear:
My name is Ozymandius, King of Kings,
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away"-Ozymandius

A true friend stabs you in the front. -Oscar Wilde

"Remember...that everything you learn is already part of you, even to the Godhead itself. Study nothing except in the knowledge that you already knew it. Worship nothing except in adoration of your true self..And fear nothing except the certainty that you are your enemy's begetter and it's only hope for healing. For everything that does evil is in pain. Will you remember those things?"-Imajica (Clive Barker)

"When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be."

My favorite quote is actually my signature. It's part of a dialogue by Darth Vader in Star Wars (yup, geek! (geek) ).

And I like it because I think we always complain about the negative things in life and those things actually make us value who we are and what we have. It's the falls that make us stand up again with renewed strength and that makes us be the whole strong and confident person we really are.

If I have to explain it, then I shouldn't be playing it. (Explaining jazz)
