Seeing someone else smile is a smile itself

Hi Every One

Today I was having one of THOSE days...where you are making every effort to be positive about the challenges ahead - but obstacles keep lurking at every corner...

And the weather wasn't helping the mood either... it was loomy, cloudy and rainy - just depressing!

And I walked outside feeling fustrated and agitated... and in my mind scolding myself for being so miserable...

I looked up - and the sun as shining its magnificent rays though the dark clouds... giving it a sureal silver look - which took my breath away... and then I heared the birds sing again... and the wind whisper in the trees ...

It brought a huge smile to my face... and I went back to my challenges humming....

And as i thought about later today I realised... that no matter how desperate situations get... There will always be some sunlight shining in somewhere... and if you take a moment to appreciate what is around you you will find it... and so much more...

When my other half decided he was going to be a brat, put me in a headlock and cuddled me for about half an hour (I do the same thing) it always make me smile when we rough house and cuddle. Our friends think we're insane but after a year and 9 months a little tussle is welcomed lol. Besides it could be FAR worse I mean... we could of been NOT at school

I finished a really good book today...and have ordered the sequel...that definately made me smile :D

Listening to my husband whistling a delicate airy tune and right in the middle providing his own percussion for the tune. I fell off the bed laughing. He was so embarassed that I heard.

Hi everyone, I am new to the group! Couldn't sleep and in my insomnia ridden wanderings, I stumbled, quite merrily, across this site! First of all, it brings a smile to my face to read how many people's "familiars" brought smiles to their faces!

Mine was as well my dog. I live in Western Washington and we just got dumped with snow, so my smile was my dog playing in the snow!! He loved it, and he always has a way of getting me out of a bad mood Such a good boy!!

P.S. Though the gorilla is no more, he sleeps with a stuffed animal every night... Such a momma 's boy!

I always smile when the weather forecast is wrong. Especially on days like today when they forecast torrential rain all day, and yet the sun is shining...

My kids returning hime from a weekend away!!! (the weekend without them put a smile or two on my lips as well, sincy hubby and I had the house to ourselves and knew the kids were gone! (lovedin) ) Not sure which made me smile more. LOL

That and the previews for the new upcoming movie, night at the museum, about life after dark in the museum of natural history, and everything comes to life.

Walking into my kitchen an seeing new flooring!!

The thing that made me smile today actually is a sad thing as well... I set up surgery for a young woman who found out last night that she was having a miscarrage... however all she wanted was to have the procedure before the holiday and so I got the special clearance to add her at a time the doc doesn't usually do surgery.... but anyway even in her sadness she couldn't stop thanking me for making it happen for her.... so I was sad and yet she made me smile for being able to help her just a little....

Seeing sweet Miss Mary stand up for herself, even though she sooooooo hates to make anyone unhappy, even though it means she's miserable.

The thing that made me smile today and in fact every day is coming home from another stressful day at the office to the smiling faces of my partner and my loving daughter.

I was at my brother's house today when he got home from work. The first thing he did was si6t down and take his shoes off. At his ppmoment, the cat got up, walked across the room, and sat down and started licking his butt.
"Look," I said. "Oscar's dying for fresh air."

Hi Everyone!

Never mind smile!!!! - mine made me bubble over with laughter! - and i am still giggling!

In South Africa - its mid summer - and VERY hot - today was 35 degrees celcius...

anyways, I went to look at the swimming pools temp... and my great Dane was leaning onto me like he always does - and I was talking to him - when the next minute he PUSHED me in!!! I was like eeeeeeeek! and then he tried to save me! I didn't need saving! but it was just to funny for words! he jumped right in - so i let him 'save' me... he dragged me to safety and then licked me better!

It was one of those I wish I had a camera moments!
