Those are some great words of wisdom Kate. I really appreciate them. Your right about the kids. That was definitly the deciding factor for me.
I couldn't believe how contradictory the comment in the paper was. But then when the person said that of course the kids will be talked about and not have friends..and then said it would be our fault as parents and we would then be reaping what we sow.. I thought, wow, there's a "Christian" attitude. Guess Jesus was just getting what he sowed when they beat him and then made him carry his own cross to the place they planned on murdering him at..
Oh and I loved the second post..lol. If people will put up with the mistakes I make, I'm sure they will over look any that you come up with.
And I do believe that the word "right" would have fit in the sentence if you had used it instead. Because this wasn't just about what religion was the "right" one to be allowed. But rather a stand for American Rights. It is definitly the right thing to do, no matter what the issue.
I do however feel that it will help the "minority" religions in the long run though. Because it shows those that want to oppress others with the belief of "we are the majorities, deal with it" that people aren't going to just sit down and deal with it any more. And in this case, they made a point to repeat over and over "Not of a Christian path"..so people all over the country that heard about this suit knew up front that we are of a "minority" path.
Ok, I am in a chatty mood today apparently. lol I will end this before it really does get to a book length.
Blessings,
